    The problem of wifi in hotels isn't it :)

    750 off today, peeling legs, warm skin, great food and views. Happy days!

    2k off this month, pleased. Will raid MOM's at the end of the month to get it a bit higher I hope...

    Enjoying the final full week of holidays, sunny sort of. AM really pleased I have a pepper plant from a Christmas present but I don't know when to pick them! Some are a good 3 inches long and think they're ready? Or do I need to leave them to redden on the vine? They're all green at the moment, but if I have a bumper harvest, I think we could get 60 or 70 off them which would be amazing!
    Plus, do I let them dry naturally to preserve them?

    Have just noticed it's a year and a few weeks since I started posting seriously (see the start of this thread dated 10/08/2010). If I was told I'd have so much in this year I'd have struggled to believe you :)

    Am offloading some furniture via freecycle today, and helped a friend with his computer this week and was given a bottle of wine as a thank you, so it'll be consumed with a tasty meal tonight. Yummie.

    Am trying to get ready for work, slowly motivation is returning to me;
    and am deciding what to do with my tax returns - other than avoid them (never a good answer is it!)
    But a long weekend of quietness awaits us, ideal. Nothing too stressful is needed.

    The joy of tax returns, eh. I did mine a few weeks ago and started DH's for him, but there are a few complications which mean we haven't finished his yet. It's a good feeling when they're done and dusted.

    Your pepper plant sounds great, I presume it's chilli pepper rather than sweet pepper? Sorry I don't know anything about chillis, maybe good old google with come up with some tips.
    Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams :)

    Just pick it whenever. If it's chilli I would probably wait until it's red, if it's a sweet pepper, pick it whenever you want to use it!

    I let my chilli dry naturally - pick them with the stalks (but if the stalks come out, don't worry, it just means it's very ripe) and then hang them up using string in a dark, dry cupboard to dry. They don't smell or anything, so don't worry too much where you hang them.

    Once they're dry they're very brittle, so you will find it best to grind them a little using a pestle and mortar before you use them - they go everywhere if you try and cut them with a knife. However if you use them before they're dry they will cut up nicely, and are lovely in stir fries or on nachos.

    If it's sweet pepper, I don't know how you would preserve them, but not by drying. Probably under either oil or vinegar, but there are probably instructions somewhere on t' net if you have a look.

    Shall do! Aiming for a little more mortgage overpayment at the end of this month - original (as of 2 months ago) is to clear mortgage by April 2012... I think that still should be do-able - but every overpayment makes that deadlien a little more comfortable to reach.

    Like the football transfer deadline, I've managed to sneak in another £350 into the mortgage when no-one is looking. Hoping for another last minute deal with a raid on MOM's account tonight!

    And the raid was successful! £650 off MOM, so a total of 3k saved this month :) Dunno how as we also had a holiday thrown in.
