    Morning

Now here's a sentence I don't think I've posted before: I went out last night! To the pub! To a Music Bingo Night organised by DS and his dad - proceeds for a local dog rescue charity. They raised £350 - not bad for a tiny village pub. And I had three halves of cider and a great time. :T

Second lot of washing is swishing. I've fetched Dad a paper and had my morning brew with him (he is still car-less).

Came on line to check the weather forecast and got side-tracked by fb. :o

Going to risk it and hang out washing, then feed birds, put out rubbish and recycling, and write friend's birthday card. I'm having lunch with Dad, then going over to friend's to deliver card and gift.
    Sounds like a plan.

    Hugs

Morning Round. I have company at last. Glad you came on here to check the weather rather than looking out the window - only joking and great news on the night out.

I have scrubbed the washing up bowl a la JoJo, hoovered all carpeting and done 30 minutes knitting. The parcel is now here so I'll take the dogs out next.
Spend less now, work less later.

I’m here finally! I’ve just done 2 hours hard digging at the allotment so I’m regrouping with a cup of coffee and peanut butter on toast. Because I’m on my own and no one else here likes peanut butter. And because I can!

I’ve risked putting the first load of washing out on the line and I’ve put a second quick wash in. Then I might go outside and see if I can get some of the weeds out from the so-called patio. I do have a book that I can’t put down which is proving to be a bit of a distraction this weekend.

Incidentally you may have noticed I've been awarded a money tipped badge. I was going to ask for it to be removed as it's not 'my' thread but I have been money tipped for a thread I did create so I thought I would keep the badge as the badge was missed last time. I'd be interested to read your thoughts.

I've never understood the badges and so on with MSE, to be honest. If they're awarded you one, I'm sure it's because you deserve it. I realise you feel the Flylady Thread isn't yours, but without the amount of work you, Natty and the previous list writers put in to it, it wouldn't exist. You've earned it.

(((Hugs))) Roundtuit. It sounds as though you're feeling a lot calmer. I'm sure your employer won't want to lose you, so if you really can't face going in tomorrow, I'd call in sick and then get a GP appointment asap, and then contact HR to discuss your concerns. And I'd also echo the other who suggested joining a trade union if you're not a member already. If there are tricky conversations to be had with your employer about how best your talents can be deployed, they would have them for you, or at least be there while you were explaining what you find so stressful. Good luck with sorting it all out.

I hope you're feeling better, Jazee.

One lodger out yesterday, another one in, so I turned around the superking and scrubbed the shower room. Today I also scrubbed the bathroom, had a shower, washed my hair, tidied up the kitchen, and quickly shot up to the vets (open 7 days a week, hurrah!) and picked up specialist dog food for the little scrap which worked it's magic and she's finally eating something that will do her some good.

I've also re-arranged the sitting room so that it looks like a civilized place again, unlike the tip it was yesterday and replied to some texts, emails and messages that have been outstanding for weeks.
    Better is good enough.

 The weather forecast said 18% chance of rain here at 4pm, so I risked it even though it was cloudy here. It has obviously rained while I was in town :( So damp washing now in and draped on radiators and airer. Neighbour at the bottom of the garden shouted me - he's going to replace the fence between us First time we've ever spoken - and he has a little dog. Guess who I made the most fuss of :D Plus neighbour at the side is erecting a fence to replace the broken down one he inherited when he bought the house. So that's all good news.

Thank you Honeybear xx I am much calmer and using coping strategies to try and stay that way. It helped that three colleagues had privately messaged me to ask how I was - helped me to realise not to judge the bunch by the bad apple. Mixed metaphors :D I will approach the union - although the union rep I know is off work following a heart attack :( I plan to approach tomorrow as a new temping job (I'm permanent now but I worked for years as a temp): new office, new tasks, new supervisor, but with same building, familiar colleagues, same easy commute and free parking. If I quit I would go back to temping - so I may as well give this a go and keep the better pay / pension pot etc. It was a nasty shock - if that was a 'quick catch up' I hope this new woman never asks me to attend a formal meeting

Flying? Oh I mentioned my washing earlier. Been knocked off track but I think I know which way is up... and that's always a good start.

    Thank you everyone xx

Here's to a peaceful week for each and every one of us.
