Off to do my monthly volunteering stint selling on the Traidcraft stall at the foodmarket.
Kitchen and bathroom cleaned yesterday. DW x1 WM x2 so need to peg that out before I go.
Incidentally you may have noticed I've been awarded a money tipped badge. I was going to ask for it to be removed as it's not 'my' thread but I have been money tipped for a thread I did create so I thought I would keep the badge as the badge was missed last time. I'd be interested to read your thoughts.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Good morning
I am up and dressed, just having brekkie. I have skipped the Parkrun this morning, and I will go to the allotment earlier instead.
Dh is at work (thankfully!!) He was sulking last night - barely said a word!! He was okay when he got home from work, but I think he had the hump because DD1 was visiting with the dog (a bouncy 18m retriever). He is such a miserable old git sometimes!!
Todays jobs:
Clear up kitchen (still/again!)
[STRIKE]Clean downstairs sink & toilet
[/STRIKE]Food shopping
Check out new sink & taps for kitchen
Research Hotbins (fed up of wasting food and I always need compost!)
Mulch raspberry bed (at lottie)
Plant potatoes (at lottie)
Sow broccoli, carrots, [STRIKE]spinach & rocket
[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Vac up living room (hairy visitor! My dog doesn't moult much!!)
[/STRIKE]Update LO's diaries and do some paperwork! I hate paperwork!!
Check out compost at Lidl 99p for a 20L bag, according to the website - I may have to drive over and get some!
Ok - that'll do for now - I may add some more later when I remember!!
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Breadmaker on overnight, DW run and unloaded first thing, chicken and rice cooked for a small dog that won't eat the food she arrived with. She's snoozing very peacefully in a little nest behind the sitting room door. Intergrating her with the kittens is going to be a teensy bit more complicated than I'd hoped because none of them are calm about it all, and she growled this morning when she saw her own reflection in the oven door. She's probably never seen a reflection before, but all things considered I'm in awe of her adjustments. She travelled really well but the journey back took five hours because of the traffic around Bristol and Exeter. She made it up the wooden open steps between the dining room and kitchen this morning, which none of the other dogs have managed before. This is going to be an interesting weekend and I suspect that just keeping up with all of the animals needs is as much as I'll manange.
OH is off to London for three days, and we absolutely must clip the kittens' claws before he goes.Better is good enough.0 -
I've started a sourdough loaf.
Tidied the kitchen from yesterday's tea (why do I have to cook AND clean up???)
Made breakfast for small.
And that's about it so far. No idea what today's list involves.
Will check back in later with what I've achieved. Have a good day everyone.

Morning
Just wondering if my virtual friends can advise as I feel so lost. Long story short: things have reached a point with work where I don't know how to carry on. Left early yesterday in tears. Not eaten. Barely slept. My support network at work has been removed in one stroke. New supervisor knows I'm upset but says she needs me at work on Monday. I've been stabbed in the back and she knows it - says there is a culture of it. Going to be expected to cover sickness / holidays for two jobs I know nothing about. And if there's not enough work when everyone is in I'll be sent to another team in another building to help there. I'm in bits and I can't think straight. Posivibes please lovely ladies xx
Getting dressed and sorting Mount Washmore so I can get the first load swishing will be a start.
Hugs

First off, loads of hugs and posivibes for you, Round. I’m not sure what to advise but others on here more than likely will. What I do know is that you have had a lot to cope with this last year so this is probably the last straw. Xx
Piggers - yes the NI letter thingy comes out pretty much on their 16th birthday.
Valli - you earn it. Especially for keeping us all in line and going.
HB - deeply envious, but good luck!
So far today I have taken my cuppa back to bed and read some of my book. Bliss. DH is away so no interruptions.
WM x2 run, HHI done, kitchen floor swept and mopped, birthday card posted and just caught the only post collection of the day.
Much of the rest of the day will be spent ferrying and waiting for DD, but now it will be light when we get back I may be able to sneak in some greenhouse time.
Hugs all round. Xx0 -
I have cleaned the fridge and walked the dogs. I plan to get out in the garden but don't feel quite right. Could hardly remember any of the dogs commands on the walk, so I'm going to sit for a while and read the paper.
Glad the dog is settling in well HB.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Roundtuit hugs and good vibes. Would it help to write yourself some lists, maybe even post-its, just of random actions, thoughts, choices. What thoughts can be acknowledged as sad but part of a process, what are the immediate situations, what are overload? Nobody can force you into work on Monday. You can phone in sick, be signed off, resign. None of these may be ideal, but they are possibilities. What is in your control and what is beyond it? Sorry if I'm talking rubbish. We are all here for you.
This morning I've been in the greenhouse and Mr N has been digging.
Purple sprouted broccoli picked for tea tonight.
One load washing out and yesterday's folded and put away.
Doing another report next.
Visit to MIL after lunch. BIL went to see her on his way home last night and she told him to go away then threw food at him, so we don't expect a better reception.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
I can't read Rounds post on this device but wish you well whatever is going on.
Second of three wash loads in machine, first on line.Spend less now, work less later.0
