I thought 07-44-56 was phased out years ago in favour of 07-01-16.
Maybe not?
A thread from about a year ago mentions it a few times... actually you started it

AFAIK 07-44-56 is primarily for Cash Card accounts.
However, it appears to be interchangeable with 07-01-16
So if you send a credit to your account using 07-44-56, instead of 07-01-16, it would arrive instantly as a Faster PaymentWoah, !!!!!!? I thought 07-44-56 was phased out years ago in favour of 07-01-16.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
When I opened my account, it was initially on sort code 07-44-56. At that time, I had a cashcard.
When they upgraded it to a debit card, they didn't tell me specifically that the sort code had changed, but from that time onwards, the card and statements had an 07-01-16 sort code. The account number remained the same.0 -
http://www.nationwide.co.uk/internetbanking/help/help_standingorder_form_WP112.htmNationwide's accounts have the following formats
FlexAccount sort code: either 07-01-16 or 07-44-56. You should use 07-01-16 even if 07-44-56 on your cheque book or cash card.0 -

I notice it says HSBC FPS is now only £5k, down from previously the full £10k.
Did HSBC announce this reduction in service?0 -
I think so. I first saw it here, where there's an HSBC link in post #5

I set up two 'bill payments' yesterday to leave my Lloyds account this morning. Although both recipients are enabled for faster payments this has gone out as a 'BP' transaction - so will not arrive until Tuesday. (not 'FPO') It's baffling that they do this - considering that standing orders do go out as faster payments and are necessarily 'future-dated' when set up. In future I will have to send these payments 'on the day' if I want them to be received as such......under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0

I note that the Citi website has been updated again and now says planned implementation by the end of 2010.
I think the date has been pushed back many times and even if they meet this latest one that represents over two years later than their original planned launch date for personal customers (remember Citi are one of the original founder members of the scheme).0 -
Nationwide is up to £1000 now I am told.0
