Oh you should have seen how many Easter Eggs C got from family members. Luckily she us a mummy that ate them all for her :rotfl:

She's not touched chocolate or sweets yet. Only her birthday cake and she hated it! Icing was too sweet.

The worst thing about nursery is how ill they get. Been going since March we've had various colds and viruses. Chicken pox, hand foot and mouth and now it looks like conjunctivitis. It's never ending.

DH is away at 4am tomorrow overnight to Manchester so it'll be the first time doing the morning routine on my own. Wonder how late for work I'll be tomorrow. Well that's only if C is feeling better in the morning or it will be my first day off due to a child being sick! Wonder how that would go down with my bosses...

re Annabel karmen- I followed her method with both mine, puree then tiny pasta shapes .for lumps and textures and it worked well. i was a nervous wreck and couldn't do blw. her books are fab. euro-very true about toddlers, ds ate everything then decided he hated veg at the age of 2. funnily he eats everything they give him at nursery but won't for me. they both love fruit which is great and dd has a fab appetite and will eat anything!

toots, same here with nursery, I live at my gps over winter! conjunctivitis is awful, the salty water and cotton pads work well. its terrible when they wake up and their eyes are stuck together. hope dd feeling better soon.

Haha, yeah Toots - at Easter I had my Mum practically begging to buy her an easter egg. I was like 'She's 9 months old. No. And I'm on a diet, so they won't get eaten at all. It's a waste of money. Buy her something else, like a money box or something.'.

    Hi,

just spotted the thread and would like to join in. I think i recognise a few names from the old pregnancy threads.

We have Zoe. First and only..not going through that again! She just turned 10 months. Not had a great day today, teeth are bothering her. Shes got the top 4 and bottom 4 through, and i think it's the top further back ones coming now. Red cheeked and very drooly.

She's doing baby ballet and rhyme time and goes twice a week to soft play with her little group of baby friends. Trying to get her to mix with babies as much as possible as i'm not going back to work, so she won't be going to nursery.

Don't know what else to say..she started crawling last month and also cruising the furniture, but she isn't quite letting go and walking on her own yet, but hates sitting now. Only happy when shes on her feet. Little monkey.

Had his check at the health centre for 9 months. Development good. But health visitor noticed he has a deep crease on one thigh which isn't repeated on the opposite leg. That could potentially indicate hip problems. So need to make an appointment to see GP as he may need a scan to check if anything needs doing.

Hopefully not as that means an operation and hip cast.

I hope the GP appointment goes well and it's just an innocent crease, Freddie.

I'm currently on the hunt for a stair gate, we used to have one for the dog and it was fine but a bit of a nuisance so hoping to find one that's as simple as possible. I'd quite like a retractable one but not sure how safe they are if a lot of pressure is put on the panel.

Teeth are giving us bother at the moment, I'm guessing that's probably going to be the case for at least the next year :(

Got three a month or so ago from Aldi. I'm not sure if they still have them, but they were decent ones and simple. £12 by Hauck

We've also got two of those, tested them but not in use yet. Seem fine.

Thanks Beckyy, GP has made a referal to a specialist so he'll probably be having a scan, just need to wait for the date to come through.

He's got a crease on one thigh which is much more prominent than the one on the opposite leg. Then higher up in the fold where legs meet the body there's an extra crease at one side.

We've read about it though and he doesn't have any other symptoms that would suggest a hip problem. One site linked from the NHS said that thigh creases alone are unlikely to indicate hip dysplasia unless the gluteal folds (the folds under bum cheeks) are asymmetrical. His aren't asymmetrical.

GP said that majority of children sent for scans turn out to be perfectly fine. Fingers crossed.

Hate the idea of him being stuck in a hip cast for three months...trying to keep the thing dry!

hi all, Freddie my ds had the same thing (he's now 4) he had the higher crease and went for a scan around same age as your ds and he turned out to be ok. i think its quite common for the crease thing and turns out it be fine so fingers crossed it Will be the same for your ds.

re stair gates ive had a few, all pressure fit ones. lindam and babydan are what we have at the min. unfortunately ds got quite clever and could open them when he was 2 and when i had dd we put a bike lock round them as he would be away upstairs and i would be trying to tend to a newborn!

my eldest is 4 tomorrow, i just cant believe where time has gone x

We currently have stair gates downstairs (to stop lo hassling me in the kitchen and also one that will stop him climbing the stairs and getting into the dining room where oh has a large Lego collection!!). They are babydan screwed in fixed ones. We haven't sorted out one for the top of the stairs yet. Our stairs are a bit odd though so we need to work out how we can do it.

Fingers crossed Fred is ok and there is nothing serious there. My work colleagues little girl was born with a hip problem and had to have an op with a cast, she is 5 now and fine, she just can't go on trampolines.

My lo has to have an operation when he turns one, I'm dreading it if I'm being honest and just not thinking about it. It's a fairly small op to fix hypospadias but will mean a week of a catheter and double nappies.

I'm currently dealing with teething and constipation. It's not a good combination when it comes to bedtime!!
