Anyone fancy posting a price list of the items you have to buy, catalogues, bags etc.

That way we can work out how much people are making. There's no point in saying you made £X but lost Y number of books and had to replace them, as the true amount you have earned is £X minus the cost of Y. If we don't know the cost of Y we can't work out how much you really earned.

I tried it out YEARS ago and it definitely wasn't for me, I hate intruding on people and found I had to knock on doors to get half of the books back. I didn't go into it at first knowing what it was, the ad said it was "delivering catalogues" so I thought it'd be like when you deliver the Yellow Pages. Then when the woman came round and showed me what it was I hated the idea but thought I might as well try it out. She actually waived my setup fee though which was handy.

I quite liked ordering the stuff over the net, that was fun, but they even charged you for that privilege. After I cancelled my account I found out they were still charging me for internet use. The worst part about it for me was the nagging feeling that I could always be out delivering more books and was missing out on earning.

The guy that came round to us regularly loved it though, he'd signed some people up, made friends from it. He's disappeared now though so maybe it all went wrong :/

well went and collected another 39 books tonight and another £40 order so its getting there:beer:

Well done, £120 on your first drop of 100 books is slightly above average, which is £1 per book, while your blanket dropping.
I really would ignore the negative comments of people that clearly have no understanding of the business.
Keep it up and your on the way to building a healthy business.

It is a very low average for a lot of work IMO , me and the wife sell Avon and we only have 70 cutomers, we get around £300-£400 in orders or even more every 3 weeks.

How much are the books and what commision do you get, we get 25% for avon and books work out at 14.7p each
  • takes a lot of time and money to do the kleeneze thing properly & it's very soul destroying - it's also quite a 'pyramid selling' thing as you start at the bottom and have to try and persuade others to work for you while you are still trying to do your own thing ! NOT recommended unless you have around 14 hours a day to spare !

Takes a lot of time, effort and money to get any business working, and that's what KZ is, you are running your own business, it's not a job, it's a business commitment.

If you start your own business up, then you have the overheads like advertising (here would be the catalogues) finding customers, keeping customers, you would need to source your own products, and probably have to bring them in in bulk so you would need storage facilities etc etc, it is known that many small busniesses do not break even till after the first year.

With KZ, they have assembled the catalogue for you, sourced the products and you only have to order what you have firm orders for, (rather that having 1000 bog roll holders that you need to find customers for)

And for the record, I don't actually do KZ anymore (for personal reasons, not because of the nature of it), but I just wish people would get their heads around the fact that it is a BUSINESS and not a JOB, and it is YOUR business, if you don't put the groundwork and hard graft in, then it is never going to make you money. It's upto you if it fails or succeeds.

    Hi Deanos,

Yeah it would be a very low average if it were books to customers, but I'm talking about placing books in every house in the street ( Blanket dropping ) to build a customer base. You've clearly already done this. Once you have a customer base then you obviously expect that figure to rise and it's common to get in excess of £10 per book.

However even that is not the full story as the commision from retail which by the way is 21% is only part of the commision available as there are other bonus's and more importantly most people that wish to earn more than a £1000 a month don't achieve this via retail only but by building a team with everyone doing a little bit. In fact 100% of the people that earn the big salaries do it this way.
If you just wish to make an income from retail then Avon and Bettaware are very competitive with Kleeneze in fact Bettaware with there no cost set up might be the best way forward for this kind of income. This suits many people and good luck to them. If you want to earn the bigger incomes then it's very tough to do this from your own personal retail. So I guess it depends on what you want.

My Mum did Avon for many years and thoroughly enjoyed it, I think for her it was a better choice than Kleeneze, Horses for courses as they say.

    - it's also quite a 'pyramid selling' thing

Yeah a lot of people get the idea that network marketing is the same as a pyramid scheme. Actually there are serious differences. In fact the differences are so serious that Pyramid selling is actually illegal. Many companies have over the years tried to use pyramid schemes to move their product. 100% of them have been closed down. Pyramid schemes are illegal and unlike Kleeneze such companies certainly couldn't have lasted since 1923 and be a member of the DSA ( Direct Selling Associasion ) http://www.dsa.org.uk/

It's just a misunderstanding of the networking business model, but it's a serious misunderstanding.

    All the best

kleeneze works its been prooven everywhere its the lazy people and the quitters that dont work

I tried it and the simple fact is what is in the catalogue is over priced rubbish. You get less and less orders each time you collect the catalogues. You have to work harder and harder for less and less orders, until eventually you give up.

The only way to make money from it is by continually recruiting other people and taking a cut of their earnings until they give up.

    Obviously not!!!!!!

Strange how all these people who say they are making money won't say how much their overheads are?
