just been listening to people at work saying how their kids/ partners washup do ironing do washing ,hoover etc. i am lucky if the breakfast pots are washed up when i come in from work:mad: ( certainly wouldnt be put away!)

I have decided when I get in tonight I am going to lay down the law to all of them to make sure they pull their weight. its no wonder I am tired. I have recently had some health problems which the consultant has put down to stress and still they are doing b**ger all to help me. ( my own fault I know for doing it all in the first place- but I cant stand untidyness)
So I am going to make them responsible for a particular job each day. has anyone any better ideas to get them up off their backsides?

sorry for the rant but i needed to vent my frustrations.

Hi everyone, hope you are all well, hugs for those that need them :)

Just a quick hello from me because I have to work extra hard today to compensate for my 10-4 day yesterday *eek* OH contacted his solicitor's fill-in yesterday and told them to pass on the message that dragging me into the melee wasn't on - so that's better.

silvercharming - I don't undersatnd how they make so much mess either - OH left a trail of devestation in the kitchen last night and didn't even cook :)

have a good day all, celx

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Good morning

The weather here is awful. I am having real problems getting little bear out of the house - I get really anxious and hysterical at the thought of getting him on a bus and I can't drive. I also feel ready to pass out on a regular basis, but I actually think that it is physical which makes a pleasant change for me :o But with the weather as it is I can't even take him to the park! If I do get him out it will be to the end of the street to the newsagents, then round the corner to the chemists for a cup of gossip and then home. Again. Poor little mite. Still, I am determined to take him out and about more in September when the mums & tots start - I just have to be firm with myself. :o

Soon I will be getting my daily call from my uncle. Poor man is going blind and deaf, and he feels a little isolated, so he rings me up every day. For an hour. I expect the morning to go - finish this post, get little bear up and change him and see how his nappy rash is, give him a nice breakfast and a bit of a play, take the phone call, put little bear in his playpen because by that time he will WANT his nap and then have a nice large cup of tea or two and take some deep breaths. It will be around 11am.

Then my darling husband will be home this afternoon as he is not feeling well. I am confident that all ladies know what it is like when a gentleman feels poorly.

I don't think I shall be doing much housewifery today.

I can't really complain, it is just the usual stuff but there is a room full of ironing, and I like ironing (honest!) and I want to make the time to just iron and relax. Perhaps it will be tomorrow.

I have looked at the first page of the thread 'Enough is enough - the great declutter' and I am very intrigued, but there are over three thousand posts!!! (I do think it is worth three exclamation marks) Can anyone tell me if it is worth starting to read the thread for inspiration? I do find this board lovely, and it has already inspired me so much.

Mioliere - I hope the rehearsal goes well. I am sure you will be dreaming of favours! If there are any spare love hearts, your DH and BIL are very lucky to have them, they are a particular weakness of mine :o

DD has given me a HUGE gift bag full of all sorts of things - loofah set, exfoliating soaps, etc. In amongst all of that were a few little notes. They are vouchers for things such as - "I will run you a bath with bath salts and scented candles", "I will do anything you ask for a day". Awwwww. I'm so touched at her thoughtfulness. :kisses3:

DS is upset because the gift he ordered for me online hasn't arrived yet. I know what it is (Deacon Blue's Greatest Hits! :j ) so I will be delighted when I get it and he knows that. I've got "Dignity" in my head now.

Oh well, better get off to w**k. "There's a man I meet, walks up our street, he's a worker for the council, has been 20 years......"

Morning. 10th day of consecutive rain

The wind is picking up for tomorrow, so that looks likely to cancel my fishing trip. I hate summer!.

Day off the first since 7 days ago. I was looking forward to some fishing, but we will have to see. Boot sale in Penzance area today if the rain stops. It's very misty, so might put sellers off anyway.

    It's a bit gloomy is'nt it?

Hello all and yum yum cake:bdaycake: to Jayward and Anniebooklover.

W Sybil - the decluttering thread is tremendously inspiring, as is the simplifying one. I am sorry to hear that it is difficult for you to get your little one out and about as much as you'd like. There are some 'quiet' quotations which people have posted on the simplifying thread, some I copied into my notebook as they touched me. Maybe a couple of post-it notes or something with a message that makes you feel good would help in a way?

Sorry to hear about the Cornwall weather - think you have been transposed with NE Scotland-it was scorching when we were up last week. Continuous rain does get you down though. Hope it picks up.

I have had a parcel go missing in the post for the second time in about 3 months - and I'm talking about maybe 15 parcels altogether so that is a lot to go wrong!! Anyone else find it's getting worse? I haven't had anything else go missing for years.

Ok, a quietish day here. Ironing to do and some other housework which just will not go away or get done by itselfrolleyes.gif

KAAT - just read your post from last night - glad that your DH is fine ((((hugs)))) - must have been scary
