Thanks, so have I now. Wouldn't be a problem, but I only know about three lines of it!0 -
Happy Birthday Jayward and Anniebooklover  . Hope you both have lovely days.
Got the news yesterday that we settle on our house on Friday so we've upped the effort level on packing up this place. I'm so excited although the prospect of a 20 min train ride rather than a 10 min walk to work doesn't thrill me, nor does the prospect of paying the mortgage for the next 30 years! Ah well. Hoping to bring the mortgage down to 8 years, which is a bit more bearable.
Been to the gym today and just got the dinner on to cook - bolognese, using up what's in the cupboard.
Hope you all have a lovely day0 -
Morning
Just popped back to wish AnnieBL a happy birthday.

Morning all,
Still dull and wet up here,v.depressing.I went into town yesterday, hitched a lift with DH & DS on their way to work,it wasn't raining when we set off,but i was soaked by the time I got back.
I wanted some hairclips and stuff-we've got a wedding on Saturday, and I've got a 'fascinator' for my hair, but I think it looks better on me when my hair is 'up'.I was practising diff ways yesterday, but still not decided.I got a roll thingy to help it go into a French pleat,( nearly £5 from Boots  )but I can't seem to get the knack, so that was a waste of money. My hairs only shoulder length, and not that thick.I'll have another go after- I've washed it this morn but not styled it,will leave that till after I've been out with the dog,if it rains again it'll be a waste of time as it goes wavy and flyaway when its damp:mad:
Oh nooo! A bird has just flown into the conservatory, and it's just lying there stunned on the path, poor thing. It seems to happen on a regular basis here -I don't know whyI'll leave it a bit and see if its still there when I get back from the dogwalk, sometimes they just need a breather.
W Sybil, at least you do sound like you and your little boy do get some fresh air even if it is just the shops, you sound like a lovely mum playing with him, I used to work with children and you'd be surprised at how many mums just seem to ignore their children till they do something they don't like,so well done you:T
Mioliere-getting near now,I know I'm really looking forward to the wedding we're going to on Sat,so you must be really excited.I hope you and your family have a wonderful time.
Happy Birthday Jayward and AnnieBL !! Have a lovely day.
Hugs to all xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Sistercass - think you need to do a 'Tru', perhaps the lady herself will come on and explain but basically I think it means - go on strike.
N9eav - know what you mean though you lot down there have suffered a lot worse than we have. Remember hearing an Australian actress saying she couldnt understand why we British complained about the weather so much - she was in the UK in winter, however when she came in summer she understood fully.
Anyway I shouldnt be on here, have done a few bits but am still not dressed so best get on.0 -
Morning peeps:wave:

Well the weather so far has been dry and i`m keeping my fingers crossed that it remains so for the rest of the day, i didn`t get out in the pouring rain last night to check my plants for caterpillar eggs:eek: so i need to do it tonight.

Morning :hello:
I know I haven't been around much lately so must have missed out on lots of news. Very belated congratulations to lilmisskitkat on the birth of your son - I knew you must have had him weeks ago but I've been paying so little attention to MSE that I missed your posts - I had to go and have a nose at your profile to find out!
Happy birthday to jayward :bdaycake: and anniebooklover :bdaycake:
Hugs to smoky, not sure if you've been posting lately but am still thinking of you.
Welcome to Janheals! :hello:
I have an infection in my upper right eyelid which makes me look like somebody's punched me. Went to the GP yesterday - running an hour late, oh joy - and was prescribed some ointment for it, which hasn't made any difference yet. If it's no better by Friday I'll book myself in again first thing Monday morning.
Got lots of free time this week - was out yesterday night and am out again tomorrow, but that should be it - so am taking the opportunity to make sure the freezer is well-stocked with meals for next week, when I'm out every night. I might try a "rubber chicken experiment" over the weekend, as there's a large organic free range one on the freezer which I got half price at Tesco the other week.
Am also trying to work out whether I can justify replacing the portable telly in my bedroom. My 14" CRT one has conked out - just decided one day that it wasn't going to switch on any more (I tried changing the fuse and it wasn't that) - so will see if I can get rid of it on Freecycle, and then it's a question of whether to replace it. A local-ish branch of Richer Sounds has a Sharp 20" LCD on clearance, reduced from £300 to £120, and I do miss being able to watch TV in bed, but then again I'm scrimping and saving to try and knock as much as possible off the mortgage, and besides, it's probably better for me NOT to have a telly in my bedroom, after all it's only 10 steps to the living room... Will have to do some number-crunching and see whether it's justifiable. It should be - my dad gave me £100 for my birthday and I put it straight into savings, which I suspect wouldn't have been his intention
Would like to list a bunch of things on Freecycle this evening for collection at the weekend - flat is a mess and there's not a lot I can do about it without eradicating clutter. Also need to write 2 concert reviews from last week.
Catch you all soon, love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape
