Hi everyone, Happy Birthday to Jayward and Annie Booklover. Looking like it is warming up to be a bit of a humid day here in MK. Going to get ready for work in a minute, not sure what we are having for tea, probably something quick and easy as I work late on a Wednesday and dont normally get in till bout 7.30. Found a dead fish in the tank this morning, dont know why, going to test the water tonight to make sure it is within the correct parameters, otherwise it is a murder mystery and unexplained. Duddles x0

Good morning......it's a bit dull on the Lancashire coast today
Off to work in a bit - last day til Monday :j
WM on (towels & added soda crystals)
Last night's load on airer to dry while I'm out
Fruit salad from bowl for lunch (2 value nectarines, bananananana & strawberries )
HM potato salad (spuds from Saturday's dinner party) & garlic sausage for tea, DF not home until late so only me to feed
Packing to do tonight, also bit more ironing & tidying round.
Also need to sync some music from PC to my phone for the megabus journey from Preston to London......couldn't see point in spending £57 or more on a train ticket when the bus is only £18.50 return! How very MSE is that!:rotfl:
Need to gather up rubbish into the wheelie bin, put it out & remind council to give me a new recycling bag for paper - hopefully for next week's recycle collection
Have a good day & :grouphug: to all who'd like one.......
Mioliere - are you all favoured-out yet?
Whatatwit - don't spread those fillings too thin! Hope Uncle soon feels better - has it gone to shingles?
AnnieBL - :bdaycake: Happy birthday, I know you're in work, but have a lovely day anyway
Love to all,

Morning all,
happy birthday Jayward & Annie BL - hope you both have a great day!!! :bdaycake:
Hester, could you get DD (or DIL?) to leave a t-shirt or something of theirs next time you babysit, so you could put that between you & baby next time? Maybe the familiar smell might help settle her??
(((((((hugs))))))))))) to all those needing them - must go & catch up on the threads, back later.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Good Morning All
Happy Birthday Jayward & Anniebooklover  .
Overcast here again today but really need to get some washing done for our weekend away so will probably be in and out all day trying to get it dry. Was meant to be Tai Chi this morning but think will give it a miss as have loads of paperwork to do and noone to look after DS. So I must make sure I do loads of work now so its not wasted.
My Remoska should be here today with some other lovely stuff from Lakeland, I forgot to see if they have a heat diffuser for my hob though so will have a look in a local kitchen shop. Even the smallest ring on my hob is too much if you are cooking a stew but obviously the aim will be to use the remoska more and more.
Think will put a hm loaf on in a min, I have been lax with this lately and have been using packet mixes. I think I will set myself a challenge for September to stop buying bread and go back to the proper way of making it.
Thats it for now, had a small lay in and need more coffee to get going.
Have a great day all.

to Jayward & AnnieBL
Am up and ready, not used to it, have been off work for too long.
Did online tesco shop last night, OH takes cans of Tesco diet coke with him, (cheaper than him calling at the services ) the pack I buy has gone up 40p in a week. Saw they had a section for things they have reduced the price of, but was nothing I buy.
Am off to make a coffee now, need the buzz :rotfl:
Have a good day xxxxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Morning all,
Overcast here today, but I had no choice I had to put the wm on, when dd and I got back from Bognor yesterday the dogs had wet on my bed  soaking through the duvet, sheets, matress protector, and the bottom duvet, (we sleep on an old one for extra comfort), I managed to get the old duvet in the wm last night, which is now on the airer, but the new one will not fit in so I will have to take it to the laundrette and get it washed and dried. So I now have the bedding on a boil wash.
My mum is coming here today to dog sit, while her new floor gets waxed so she will get washing in if it rains.
DD is off to the new forest for the day with her dad, and I am off to work, and the joy of month end accounts
Chilli for tea, which I cooked yesterday, so will just do the rice when I get in.
Squigly the craft shop in Bognor is called squires, and is opposite the library, is quite an old fashioned one, but they have everything you could ever want, dd and I ended up making bracelets.
Kathy, living in sin is great, hope you are ok and not too stressed xx
Happy Birthday To Jayward and Annie BL
Hugs to smoky xx
Have a good day all xx0 -
Hi all - manic here in Chez Mioliere! BIL arrived last night and, fortunately, has gone to work with DH! He's a s*d for thoughtlessness - he started cleaning his shoes on my kitchen worktop and left his dirty washing on the worktop, too! I always have to follow him round with cleaning stuff. He went to make us a cuppa last night after fiddling about with his feet and socks - I hate anything like that. I have to watch him like a hawk with DH secretly laughing at me because he knows what I'm like!
Happy Birthday to Jayward and AnnieB:bdaycake: :bdaycake:
(((Hugs))) Smoky, PenPin, Candygirl's Dad, Essex-girl's Dad, Beth and her DBs all those with colds and coughs and anyone else in need.
Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:
Whatatwit - yes, definitely a triplet!!
I have twelve more favours to do! They are for the top table so will be a bit more fancy than the others. The ones I have done so far I'm really pleased with and DH says they're really good so that's put my mind at rest! He has helped by opening the little packets of Love Hearts - it looks like I'll have some left over so I've told him and BIL that they can have the rest!
We're taking the favours with us when we go for the wedding rehearsal this evening and then my work is done!
The weather doesn't look too hopeful for the wedding day but DIL to-be says she just wants it to be dry for when she enters the church; she's not one of those who will let a bit of rain spoil the day. I hope the sun does put in an appearance, though. It is August, after all!
HardupHester - My DGS was in tears the whole time I looked after him one day when he was about the same age! I don't think it was because he didn't like me - it was just that I wasn't his Mum! He loves being with me now and your DGD will, too, so don't take it to heart. When I took him to meet the girls I worked with, at about eight months old or so, they all wanted a cuddle but it got too much for him and he reached his arms out for me and I knew then that he loved me! His Dad said 'he's put you on his 'trust' list' which made my heart melt. Now, when I pick him up from school I get the most amazing welcome.
Well, I have about 10 zillion things to do this morning including getting the other spare room ready for my Mum who arrives tomorrow afternoon with Sis and BIL (they're staying in a hotel - I've no more room at the inn!) and I want to be as organised as possible by then.
There's also all the other basic things you tend to forget about when something big is happening - like the ironing! The pile is getting bigger and bigger - I'll do it after church tonight.
Fish and chips from the chippie tonight and spag bol tomorrow so that's all in hand. Easy meals are the way to go when the house is fillling up!
I love being able to come on here and 'chat' - it sort of focuses me when I would otherwise be even more stressed. I shall come back as often as I can between now and the big day, though, to help keep me sane!
Anyway, despite all that is going on, I can still mioliere for England, cant't I?!
Hope you all have a great day.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Morning all!
:grouphug: to the birthday peeps and all others who need it
Dazi, I agree with you about Tesco prices.OH thinks its hilarious that I (used to) know all my prices by heart. No they're up and down like the assyrian empire! I'm finding pet food the worst, though I have been bulk buying it on special offer the past week or so. I went and did my yellow sticker run there last night - my fridge is now full of speciality breads and deli ham, all ridiculously cheap. It's funny, I thought with the credit crunch I'd have a lot more competition for the reduced stuff. What has actually happened is that the reductions are now of superior quality, since lots of people are downshifting their shopping trolley and the supermarkets haven't got supply and demand quite right yet. In every cloud and all that :rotfl:
I had a very strange dream last night, but I can't remember what it was about. I'm sure it was a good one, though! Then I got rudely awakened by the dustmen, as Blur would say, and had to dash my bin down to the kerb in my dressing gown. That prompted a wolf-whistle, which slightly embarrassed me.
Today was going to be a big ol' housework day, but because OH is still off work (says he feels weak and feeble) I think I might save it 'til he goes back. I have never understood how one person can create so much mess. Especially when he has spent most of the day in bed!0
