  • Is there anyone applied for teletech recently? They are asking for references in the application form. Its just that I worked a long time ago and don't have contact with my last employer. So I don't think I can give them as my reference. Is it o.k to give a ref. from the institution I studied last??

    Can anyone clarify it pl.?

I got excited and filled out the application form. It takes a while filling the form, I got email from them regarding assesment. When I went to get my equipment tested I found out they do NOT support Mac.
Since I use Mac I now cannot become eligible.
So all Mac users be aware.

Messenger - that would be fine, I haven't worked for a while either and put down one referee that was probably about 8 years out of date! I still got the pc check come through and someone called me regarding training and the final test so don't worry too much about how old your reference are, it will be fine.
  • Thanks Lynnie27. I will try that and post the result.
  • Hi
I have a few questions about working for Teletech and would really appreciate it if someone would take the time to answer my questions. Send me a private message if you prefer.
How busy are you? Are the calls constant – or do you get 5 minutes between calls? Are the number of calls you answer monitored?
What shifts are available just now?
Can you work somewhere other than the computer/telephone line you specify at the start? Is it simple to "log in" and change your phone number for a couple of days if you want to work from another location?
    Thanks

    I have worked for teletech @ home since September 07. . .

the shifts avalible @ the min are only part time week days from 4pm - 11pm and weekends 3pm - 11 pm with 2 days off a week.

Call volume wise same as everywhere else it can be busy one day and quiet the next most of the time you get a few mins between calls sometimes it can be 5-10mins + but when its busy your talking call after call although it will quiet down as the night goes on.......

I personaly have a good team leader and havent had any problems it can take a few months for you to really get the hang of the job always felt i was supported along the way and more to the point you dont have any travel to and from work. . .

you can log in @ another location or use another phone no to your own i.e someone elses house etc....i beleave all calls are recorded we are also Quality scored on calls to make sure we follow connect procedures again its the same as anywhere else......
  • Hi
    Thanks for the info.
The shifts you describe are 35 or 40 hours per week - surely that's full time?
    I thought it was part-time.

Hours start from 20 hours per week but sometimes they put out a shift bid where you can apply for more hours/ change of hours. Not everyone gets the hours they want but some get lucky.
  • i havbe worked for them since aug 07. i do 7-11pm 5 nights a week and it really suits me as i have a baby and now have another one on the way, plus i will get maternity pay for 9 months!!!
the application process is very long but worth it, it is the only genuine work from home job i found that pays ok, pays by the other not just for time you are on the phone, gives you full benefits of being employed - so no self tax stuff, doesnt require joining fees and no selling.
