72k in debt....I feel sick

I am just setting up a basic account with natwest at the moment who hopefully will approve me soon..I have no bank account at all right now as hsbc took my cashcard last week and have cancelled all my DD's saying I had instructed them to do so!!
I have had my invoices paid into my mum's account so all the money won't be swallowed up by hsbc and she has paid all my DD's and transferred money to OH's account who has finally given me some cash to get by....phew!
and just in case I wasn't stressed enough with all this...MBNA and now Goldfish are hassling me on the phone constantly for MORE MONEY!"happiness is...positive cashflow!":j0 -
the phone hassling is just the worst thing ever isnt it? we resort to unplugging it now, as we have 2 children (not kids, they are 19 and 22) and of course they answer the phone, and there is nothing worse trying to speak to these vultures when your kids are in the same room! we have explained to them both that things are tough at the moment, but with the wisdom of youth they cant quite understand why a seemingly sensible mum and dad can get in a mess. Well neither can we particularly when I earn a good salary. the only way now is up! HSBC have cancelled all our DD's too, and are hassling us on the phone too. I did read a thread on here that said if they are really hassling tell them you will report them to the financial ombudsman, that seemed to sort them, we havent resorted to that yet as we are trying hard to work with them. The worst culprits are Lloyds, they ring at any time and seem to love sundays. keep going, at least your mum is helping, I just darent tell mine the mess we are in as she wouldnt understand, I dont think she has ever used a CC in her life.0

what to do now?
this morning I have been refused a basic bank account with natwest who wrote to say I didn't meet their required criteria.I still don't have a bank account...my money/DD's/mortgage/everything is in total CHAOS at the moment.
HSBC want me to get in touch as I have walked away from them and the overdraft.
Goldfish and MBNA are CONSTANTLY ringing my mobile from 8am until 9pm EVERY SINGLE DAY weekends included.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:eek:"happiness is...positive cashflow!":j0 -

Just wanted to say I wasn't a member when you had your LBM but I've now had mine too.
We'll get there, it's a struggle but it'll be worth it.0 -

MBNA and Goldfish have been harassing me so much I want to scream...I had phone calls at work yesterday so I had to take action and speak to MBNA toask them to stop calling during office hours. They said I had to speak to them directly re:my CCCS pro rata request and SOA.
I have called CCCS and left a message with my counsellor...as yet he hasn't called back...do I speak to MBNA and Goldfish directly even though CCCS are involved? Does anyone here know? Please help..I am feeling extremely sad and vulnerable at the moment. Thankyou everyone x"happiness is...positive cashflow!":j0 -
Cheer up chuck, we're all in this together!
Somewhere on here I have seen letters you can send to stop them harrassing you and asking them to deal with you by letter from now on. I'll have a mooch but hopefully someone more familiar with these will post them here.0 -
I have just started on a DMP with PayPlan myself and have been starting to get the phone calls, just be firm and polite and advise that CCCS (in your case) will be contacting them shortly with details of your SOA and proposed payment amount.
You can't magic some money out of thin air.. I had Lloyds Credit card people on the phone to me last night at about 8:30 asking me to pay two months payments in one go there and then. Once I'd explained they said they'd put a note on the account and await deatils from Payplan and take it from there. I'm sure they will get more frequent until the DMP kicks in and they get regular money....
Keep positive and let your CCCS contact know and get there further advice on what to say as well...2010 Holiday Money fund £2 Coin Jar = £62 :j
Copper and Silver jar = £32 so far in 20100
