I'm feeling much more positive now...my mum knows now which is a big step.. ..she read my '72k' post (she's a MSE 'lurker' who loves the forum and knows my MSE name on here) so a bit of the weight has been lifted! OH will be finding out very soon!"happiness is...positive cashflow!":j0

OH now knows about this hideous figure and was actually quite UN-shocked by it...now the difficult part I guess is the next 27 years on a tight budget!"happiness is...positive cashflow!":j0

well done you!
you can now start breathing properly again...I wish you the best of luck on your next few months! For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -
yes well done. Have you started down the road of seeing where you can make extra change and cut down bills yet. That will motivate you and may just bring down your years.0

thanks guys for your support...I am already cutting back on things that I thought were essential but really aren't! MBNA are still chasing me leaving me messages at work requesting that I call them back...although saying that they are from another company...not MBNA?!"happiness is...positive cashflow!":j0

Hi there, we are just a slight step ahead of you, and have opened an account at the Co-op Bank with no problems, we are awaiting our first wage payment into this new account so that we can start making the pro-rata payments, it is NOT easy, only this morning at 8.30 I have fielded a phone call fromthe Halifax, we live in dread each time the phone rings. We cut up all our cards last week and that is really liberating. You are going to experience highs and lows, there isnt a day when I am either feeling positive for the future or down and wondering can we ever survive this? this site is brilliant for support and advice, please use it.
Our problem was OH shielded me from a lot of our money problems, but facing this together is helping, if I'm down he pulls me up and vice versa. speak to your OH, hard to do but do it. Sorry cant be of any more help but I really do know how you are feeling, there is light at the end of a very long tunnel -believe me!0
