Hi MMD, Just read your thread through and really hope all goes well at court and you get that MBNA debt crushed! What pants about your Coop card:( . iI'm sjtu guessing really but surely if there's been fraudulent activity on your account you're not liable for it and the bank cover it for you? Sorry if I sound naive but I thought that was way that kind of thing was so costly to banks, cos they have to pay the money back to the innocent account holder? I'm sure you'll be calling them anwyay but I appreciate you don't need it right now! Anyway, all the best, you've got some great MSEers looking out for you. GOOD LUCK!
thanks smallfish..i couldn't have got this far without the help of so many amazing MSE-ers here!"happiness is...positive cashflow!":j0 -

hi mmd
I have read your thread today and i am sorry that it has been so tough for you. and the thing with the coop must have felt like the last straw
even if you don't put an SOA on here, it might still be worth doing one for yourself. because then you can go through it and make sure you are squeezing the most out of every penny of your money. Eg if you have been with the same car insurer for several years then it is very likely that you could get your insurance cheaper (and save money by goin gvia a cash back site like quidco.com)
so give yourself a financial health check it can save you alot of money, and maybe just enough to be able to get you onto a DMP
i also echo other posters, is your self employed job not covering your minimum payments? take a long hard look at that. if it isn't then you need to get a PAYE job that does do that, if at all possible. or if you really think that the SE job will start to work better, then what about bar work or other work you can fit around this job?
the only reason i am thinking about this is if you could get it so that you had some money left over each month then you could go on a manged DMP with CCCS and all this worry would be lifted from your shoulders
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

hi chevalier, thankyou for your support and advice! doing what I do for a living, being self employed is the norm and there are very few PAYE jobs out there (especially now) being freelance can be a giant pain in the neck as it's either feast or famine as far as getting invoices paid...I am working really hard just to keep the money coming in to keep the creditors at bay"happiness is...positive cashflow!":j0 -
(((hugs))) for you MMD, i hope it all goes ok. :APlease be nice to all moneysavers!
