  • What was the charge for?

it's quite complicated as there seems to have been, according to the co-op, 'crossed' money paid in and money paid out all in the space of one day, resulting in their £19.50 charge putting me officially overdrawn on a no overdraft account.

i will be calling them tomorrow to get a breakdown of exactly why all this happened as I am aware that the cashminder account does not have an overdraft facility and have maintained this account in credit(!) for the last 6 months! :T

I'm in pretty much the same boat but have only just started and someone stole my paddle.

    Take care.

    Hi there,

Did you have any 'joy' talking to them today? My bank has done this to me loads of times and, as far as I can tell, they're just trying to scam us. Every time they've done it, I've written a slightly arsey letter explaining why it's their fault and not mine, and requesting that they refund my money immediately. Every time, I've had my money refunded, which suggests to me that they know they're in the wrong, and they are relying on us not knowing what to do about it in order to make yet more money. It's not money that's at the root of all evil, it's NatWest :-)

Hope you get your money back asap - don't let anyone rip you off! And good luck with all the other money-grabbing (insert preferred insult here)!

You apply to have it set aside on the basis they've not given you sufficent time.

This is a Credit Agreement regulated by the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Sign it only if you want to be legally bound by its terms

That could refer to their T&Cs for all we know.

I have a letter from RMA Resolve stating
Please find enclosed a copy of the signed Credit Agreement. We are unable to send you any deed of assignment as we have not been assigned the debt but are acting on behalf of American Express upon instruction.
That means they don't own the debt, they are acting on behalf of their client.
