Catowen WoooooHooooo! What a win!!! :T :T :T If you are *really* bothered about the cost of going to London, couldn't you use them online? I know, it's nowhere near as fabulous as spending them in person but just offered it as an option. Make sure you pick something just for you that you will really love and cherish in amongst all the other things. I'm so pleased for you (and just a teensy bit jealous :D ).

    Hello everyone,

Finally, my big news is that ive won another competition - £2000 worth of Harrods vouchers!!! Ok, i live nowhere near London, its going to cost a fair bit to get there (and stay, no point in going all that way for the day) and although i cant really afford a few days there, it is going to be worth it - i still cant believe ive been so lucky, im going to be able to go in probably the worlds most famous shop and not have to worry that all i can afford is a carrier bag!!! I will put some aside for the children to spend, and some for me - i cant wait!! Im hoping to come up in August when i have a couple of weeks off, i would love to be able to get tickets to see Arsenal whilst we are there, for DS, but its not easy to get tickets - but i think i will try.
night, but i do think of everyone, and when i have time, love reading about everyone xx

Blimey, well done, how fab and reading your sig, you seem to have won a lot of other stuff as well, maybe I'll have a cruise around the comp sites and see what I can find!

    Evening everybody,

Wow, congratulations catowen! A tip for getting affordable (ish) accommodation in London during the summer is to check out university accommodation - some have family flats they will let to tourists during the summer. Youth hostels might be another option - there are a couple around the Kensington area (one near Gloucester Road and the other at Holland Park) which would be very handy for Harrods and all the Kensington museums as well which would give you loads of options for things to do with the kids. (Also, Tesco vouchers are great for this sort of thing.)

Let me know if you're coming up and I can show you around if you like, or at least give some tips on doing London on the cheap :)

Haven't got a G&T to toast JackieO as I forgot to refill the ice cube tray, but have got a glass of rose which I'm sure will do :D

redruby, I've just PMd you about an opera broadcast on telly tonight at 8 :)

Not read the thread thoroughly so hello and hugs to all :hello: :grouphug:

    Love Rzl xx

    Evening

Looked after DGD today, so didn't have chance to post this morning. She is gorgeous and such a happy little thing, but she is just starting to stand up, and you know how babies legs suddenly give way, she did that and I heard an enormous crack and she started to cry. I was convinced she had broken her leg  Spent ages checking her, and five minutes later she was laughing and crawling around, so she was fine. I don't remember worrying about DS this much

DH has had to go somewhere after work, so waiting for him to come in then we will order an Indian takeaway - we go away tomorrow, so I have no intention of cooking ;)

JackieO, I remember you telling us when you were first diagnosed, and I can't believe it has been a year since then. You have been a complete inspiration, and I am full of admiration for you. I have a very nice Chardonnay in the fridge and at 8.00, will raise a glass to you

Dazi, enjoy your weekend with your new DGD, the pictures were lovely.

We have Wifi access on the caravan site, so will probably still pop back to catch up on the gossip :D

Hope everyone has a good evening x

Forgot to say, congratulations Catowen, how many competitions do you enter. I try a couple and if I don't win, I give up ;)
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
