Well considering how many pages of messages have built up I hadn't managed to get to that bit. Thanks for letting me know.
Same thing happened to us....but of course our tale had a different ending....No probs...This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M. Hutchins0 -

Hi Ladies :hello:
This is potentially an awkward situation for nettinoo to find herself in. On the one hand, donators want to be assured their money gets to Jill (who has already said it's prob going to Alder Hey) and yet on the other, those same people would rather the amount given stayed anonymous. Bit of a catch 22.
All I can suggest is that anyone who has any doubts at all could/should donate directly to Alder Hey/Meningitis charity, as there is nothing nettienoo can do bar stress that she is trying to help Jill out and organise something as she lives the closest. Also she is giving out her personal details to anyone PMing her, which is trusting of her in the first place.
I'm not saying people shouldn't voice their concerns and everyone has valid points to make.
I'm just hoping nettienoo isn't upset by doubts raised.0 -

JELLYBABY.. I wasnt doubting anyone (I am truly grateful to nettienoo for all the hard work ahead of her) just saying that some people might not want the amount they put in to be broadcast on a public forum .. some for different reasons to others
anyway lets get back to Boots!0 -

I wonder if to put her mind at rest nettienoo could post a list of names on the thread and also send a list with amounts on to CPG just as a reassurance that all has been dealt with correctly. Not that I imagine for one minute that nettienoo would do anything else!
Just an idea?
It is so touching that so much support for Jill and her family has been generated on this thread.:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -

Oh no, i didn't mean anyone in particular. I just thought donating directly might be an option for anyone who didn't feel comfortable donating any other way. I certainly agree re: the donation amounts being better kept off the main board.
Sorry if you thought my post was directed at you.
As for Mr B, well I am patiently waiting for him to provide me with my new magazine! Well, I can pretend I'm waiting patiently....:rotfl:0 -
Hi Nettienoo,
Just reading my earlier post back and I didn't word it very well:eek:
I simply meant that I wanted to makesureyou did receive my cheque, as I would hate it to get lost in the post and the money notto reach Jill. This was my only reason for asking you to list the names of people you had received donations from.
I am so sorry if you read anything else into it as that is not what I meant at all
You're an absolute star for taking this on hun :A and I am so sorry if I offended you earlier:o:o

If you mean this

I've used it twice. I think it's fantastic! :T
My hair has a kink / natural wave, but not enough to create a style with. I've had my hair chemically straightened twice by 2 different hairdressers (first was £65, 2nd was £80) and neither worked very well - I was really disappointed.
I have long (just below bra) thick hair and one box was just enough. My sister did it, took a couple of hours or more, strand test absolute must and follow instructions to the letter!
It's not a magic wand - I've gone from 20 mins with the GHD's to 5 mins max with them - so saves time and damage to my hair - so huge thumbs up from me :T :T :T
(and at £15, miles cheaper than hairdresser option)
*edited to say - I have a feeling there's a 1/3 off voucher in the ACM at the moment, and £9.99 is a bargain!!!lilian1977 wrote: »Is it that "Straighten" stuff? If so, it's rubbish - or at least I thought so anyway! x
