Did they end up with loads of loose skin though?

A friend of mine lost about 6 stone on Atkins in about 6 months and now is on the waiting list for an op because she has excess skin all over her _pale_

It's not good to lose so much weight so quickly

^ Yeah, probably (I don't like to ask!)

I don't need to lose that much though - another 2 stone would do, 3 would be ideal.

I've messed up my eating habits totally, so that I barely eat anything at all these days (and am still overweight, though good-looking with it )... I definitely need help in sorting myself out.

Don't think I could do it... I enjoy eating too much! We're getting 3 months gym membership as part of our wedding package so I'm hoping to get a bit of exercise in instead... Although with school holidays coming up it's going to get difficult...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Glad the dress will be sorted. That must have paniced you! I know it would me.

WW or Slimming World is great, but exercise too. The only permanent way to keep weight off is to eat sensibly and exercise!

Eating too little will stop you losing weight ;)

I've lost 2 stone low carbing - it's taken 6 months because I don't want to lose it too quickly. But I've changed the way I think about food for LIFE. I'll never eat the way I did.

I feel so much better now. I think I want to lose the same again, but I don't want to be too skinny.

    This isn't a diet. It's a new way of life ;)

I do hate when people say this!

My sister lives on cheesy pizza and lager, and drives to her corner shop, yet enjoys a size 8. I live on Tofu and spinach, walk 3.7 miles twice a day, and struggle to maintain a size 12.

So there must be another way :rotfl: .

Tinkers, I agree with you - but this is why I need help. I have no interest in food, I don't comfort-eat and I have no taste for fat or sugar. I'm a vegan, and my daily diet is usually:

Breakfast 7am - muesli with fat-free soya milk
Lunch 1pm - an orange or handful of raspberries
Dinner 6pm - block of tofu, sometimes served on a bed of raw spinach

I don't know what else to do but get a Lighter Life consultant to come round

Good genetics have something to do with it too...

And also low weight doesn't necessarily mean healthy body... I know when I'm exercising regularly I could give OH a run for his money... He's a perfect medium... I'm a 22/24 he spends the majority of his life on his backside and I'm always up and about!

    Some people are just lucky!

I used to be like that, and my sister wasn't so can't even blame the genes. Now I struggle with my weight as I've got older!

Just started healthy eating / lots of exercise regime with my friend. Not getting married until next year so lots of preparation time.

I'm veggie which is hard enough. I'm not surprised you have no interest in food - there's nothing exciting there!

Couldn't you experiment with flavours - make a tofu stirfry with chilli and ginger and nice crispy veg, for example? Try and awaken an interest in food?

Because then I might start eating more of it, and how will that help me lose weight?

Sounds like a very dangerous game...
