Well if you need a drastic dieting solution - I'd try Cambridge or lighter life.

I know some people will think this is not a good suggestion - but if you can stick to it for a few weeks you'll fit into your dress no problems!

    good luck

    Hottie.. x

I'll second this one, the missus and I are on cambridge at the mo and have lost almost 10 stone between us in a couple of months!

Cambridge is tons cheaper than lighterlife as well!

    That's because it's a diet!

Soon as you stop, you put it all back on! When dieting, your body thinks it's being starved and so stores the sugars and fats as a survival technique.

Result? You end up fatter than you were to start!

i didn't mean you were fat! sorry!

i mean the majority of people who follow extreme diets like lighterlife etc find that they actually end up heavier/bigger/fatter than they were before.

    I didn't mean to upset you :(

    <<<fatty...

Do you have to starve yourself on the cambridge diet? How does it work?

It's an extremely low calorie diet - less than 800 calories a day (where most women use 2000). You give up food and just live on their "nutritional packs"...

with Lighter Life you also get medical checkups and counselling - the idea is to break down your existing disfunctional relationship with food, put your body into "starvation mode" to burn off all your excess fat, then start introducing food again in a healthier way.

I've only known 2 people who did it - they were both very large to begin with, but quickly lost a large proportion of their weight and have plateaued around size 12-14. Neither of them have regained weight so far (been 12-18 months since plateauing).

I don't know a lot of the details, just that it's one of the things on my list to consider trying...
