Okey-dokey... I'm going to look for a dance class, but I also quite fancy a self defence class (I'm Buffy the Vampire Slayer in real life, or Willow, anyway...) Looking at book clubs too, tho not this week, too many evenings taken up already.

Good stuff! Book clubs round here all seem to be full or during the day  Emailed a dance place today about an adult ballet class (did it for years as a child, and have done on and off over the years), is very close to work and you just drop in and pay on the day, so I might give that a go next week - need to see if I have anything suitable to wear.. and if I feel brave! I actually felt slightly nervous sending the email, how silly am I? :o

Looks like the rounders is off, it's looking like it's going to rain any minute.. so I may work late and build up my flexi-time a bit instead, how exciting! :rotfl:

  • HI and WOOOHOOOOO, i am glad you have started a diary, i will add to my subscriptions...currently 1009999:o , but hey another excuse to keep me on here:rotfl: :rotfl: :T

I haven't found you to be miserable and as Maz says, probably down a bit after Moonwalk. Well how can we boost you up? A joke a day? Virtual drinkies? Much cheaper and better than a hangover:D

I personally find you a very positive person and very good at putting up with my turnip infested obsession...if you really knew what my obsessions were:rolleyes: But less said about those videos the better:rotfl: :rotfl:
    Muchly happy diarising,

And as the old saying goes, if you can't beat em, join em!!!:rotfl:

You did ballet! So did I! I had to start when I was 3 or so, I had flat feet and couldn't really walk.... stayed till I was 18, tho only got to Intermediate BBO - the next exam was on pointe, and I couldn't face that level of pain! But I *loved* ballet, even tho I left for a few years as a rebellious young teenager. Sigh.... happy days!

Bob, I'm pleasantly surprised that people think I'm positive... I'm not sure that anyone in 'real life' would describe me as that, was told a while back that some people at work think I'm 'aloof' because I'm shy and quiet.. hmm really stayed with me that one :( Anyway, you don't need to send me jokes or virtual drinks, not that I object to them! All you lot on here cheer me up :) (am curious about your obsessions now though :rotfl:)

KC - yep I started when I was almost 3, typical little girl who wanted to wear tutus etc, stayed till I moved away from home at 16. I loved it too, but I did find it very hard when I was a teenager, zero energy and all that growing business... can't remember what the last exam I did was but I did get a pair of pointe shoes, found them earlier in fact.. lovingly stitched at the ends for extra grip! Went back to classes a few years ago, more of a workout thing than aiming for exams or proper dances but still enjoyed it. Thought I had some flat shoes still but can't find them so may have to invest in a new pair.

So my list for today was...
-start application form due in by Friday - yep, still to do the hard bits though
-look up website for dance/ yoga classes - yep, though need to go back to library to find the one I forgot
-play rounders if it's still sunny later - nope, it was threatening to rain but it hasn't yet!
-hoover livingroom and do dishes when I get home - yep!

    Tomorrow...
-put together month end reports at work
    -try to finish application form
    - go into town and lunchtime to pay rent, pay some cheques into the bank, buy hair dye and check out that poster in the library again

Errr, will probably think of more.......

  • Well i used to get accused of being aloof as well. Then i asked what a loof was? and also said rude things at said accusers, and my reputation was then in tatters...sigh.:rotfl:
As for my obsessions, well all night wouldn't cover them, but they keep me amused..sad a loof that i am. :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • By the way ballet isn't one of them, but maybe the men in tights do have a certain attraction!

:rotfl:You can borrow my 'New York City Ballet Workout' video if you like, the male dancers in it are a little bit on the muscly side for me but still rather nice to look at! :D

Urrgh... Wednesday. I always seem to lose motivation by Wednesday. Only barely got up before 8am this morning and am struggling to find the energy to get myself organised and out of the house.

Looking at the list I made last night..
-put together month end reports at work
    -try to finish application form
    - go into town at lunchtime to pay rent, pay some cheques into the bank, buy hair dye and check out that poster in the library again.. might not do all of this at lunchtime depending on work and energy levels!
    plus
-go for a run this evening
    -change sheets etc on bed
    -do some washing
    -dye hair
    -attack giant eyebrows with tweezers

Had a nice little money boost last night, my mum has sold some stuff that I still had lying around their house (I only moved out 12 years ago!) so that's a good start to this month's extra cash raising.

    Must dash............................
