I'll check them out, there's a few different charities round here, so quite a bit to look at, I need to think about the budget as well, though am sure it would be manageable.

Time to go to interview (4.15pm on a Friday, how cruel) Catch you all later xx

    Hiya Red,
hope it went well, hugs and cuddles, :A

  • Good luck for interview, and hopefully by now it will be in the bag..so to speak. x

Thanks guys, the interview went alright I think, obviously being a Friday won't find out till Mon or Tues. The job/ place had its positives and negatives.. don't they all.. will weigh them up though if they offer me it!

Night out was quite good - ended up with 4 of us in proper fancy dress and a few others making a nod to the 80s (and a few not bothering). We had a not very good pub meal and then a bit of a pub crawl - and ugh am I suffering for it today :o Got up at 9 because landlady had left me a note saying that plumber was coming to do gas safety checks at 10.. and then he didn't turn up till 12.30! Anyway, back to last night, I tried to make an effort to speak to everyone, rather than the usual 2 or 3 that I hang around with, and one of my closest friends there actually commented on it - that it was a good thing :) Ended up playing agony aunt by the end of the night - oh the complications of work relationships/ crushes/ drunk people despairing about their partners/ lack of partners/ problems with parents.. etc etc! Overall a good night though, just wish I didn't feel so sick!! Had a big bowl of spicy tomato soup for lunch (homemade - tinned toms, onion, garlic, chilli, spoonful of hot & sour paste.. yum yum) which has helped a bit!

Not planning on doing much today... a lazy afternoon watching some DVDs I think - got the 70s series 'Children of the Stones' out, I wasn't alive to watch it back then but loved the book and friends have raved about the TV programme so should be interesting! Some of us made plans last night to go to a pub quiz on Sunday, but will see if that actually happens or not.

Hope all the nagging team are having a good day :D x

Morning peoples.. back to work! After my wash-out of a day on Saturday, was up bright and early on Sunday - out for a walk to woods, came across a jazz band playing outside little cafe, and watched some tiny ducklings, lovely! Quick trip to Tesco then the rest of the day was pretty lazy, should really have done washing up, tidying bedroom, but couldn't be bothered :o

Was supposed to have another interview today but having read through all the stuff they sent I've decided not to go for it, yet another that wasn't what it was advertised as. Feeling a bit more relaxed about the whole job thing at the moment and focussing more on finding 'outside' things to do.

OH was away over the weekend at a friend's wedding, he phoned on Saturday night quite emotional - he said a few things that if he meant them would be wonderful, but I've heard it before and have to account for the influence of lots of beer. Who remembers that Pet Shop Boys song 'You Only Tell Me You Love Me When You're Drunk'? Well, it's not that bad but definitely 'You Only Tell Me You Want To Move In With Me, Sort Your Life Out and Settle Down Properly... When You're Drunk (And Annoyed With The Ex)'. We shall see...

Oh yes, this week I'm supposed to be challenging myself to do something I wouldn't normally do - still haven't decided what yet! Might try and get to a class at the gym.. should help with the 'lose a few lbs before holidays' challenge I'm doing with Louise! ;)

Am very impressed :T (even though I can read that squished up bit :p )

I've walked to work, probably walk home as well. And I've been sitting holding my stomach muscles in all day :rotfl:

    Have eaten -
Breakfast - Branflakes with raisins and Wiseman's 'One' milk (1% fat)
Snack - Homemade cereal bar (made from branflakes, raisins, banana and fruit jam)
Lunch - some, er, cocktail sausages (not great, but at least the packet is finished :o ), pickled cabbage and raw courgette salad (sounds weird but tastes nice) and a pitta bread.
Afternoon snack - mini wholemeal savoury muffin
Tea - not sure yet, thinking about making an omelette of some sort

I'll probably be absolutely speechlessly stunned and shocked if it does, things have been unsettled for so long. Just trying not to over-analyse for now! Maybe I should threaten him with sofa spider :rotfl:
