Am convinced most clothes are designed for people with no curves at the moment, tried a dress on in Debenhams, right size supposedly but just looked lumpy in it.. it's quite unusual for me to buy so little in the way of clothes when I've got vouchers but was thoroughly unimpressed
I was out last weekend and had to go with a pair of black trousers that I left the top button unfastned otherwise I would have serious muffin top issues:rotfl: luckily I had a floaty top that covered the sin:A
I have a nice dress I could wear that isnt clingy, I dont have much in the curve department really, just flab at the moment:mad:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Hope you had a good night out Louise!
This morning I've been very domesticatedHave hoovered everywhere, done a load of washing, put dry clothes away and hung wet ones up, made cereal bars (new recipe this week including currants and yoghurt), spinach & ricotta pastries for snacks during the week (realising, in the process, that I am cr*p at making pastry), spinach pesto (fantastically bright green! now frozen in individual portions in yoghurt pots).. and done all the washing up that followed!
And here's some of my morning's work, hmm I think the lens needs a wipe...!
Not sure what to do with myself now.. pouring with rain outside again.. probably just mess about on here, watch telly, do a bit of reading.. oh I heard back from the group who do the 'urban harvest', am on their list now for volunteering so will hopefully be out doing something like that soon!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Hey, you have a post from Weezl! How cool is that! Your cooking looks lovely - well done you. I might end up doing some, actually - I've realised that snacks are much, much too expensive to buy if we're going to do this thing. At the moment, tho, I'll have to do the washing up before I cook anything, and I *know* I won't go straight from one to the other.
Ah well... I'll just have to stay on here for now.... what a shame....

Hello Weezl, lovely to see you over here! :hello:
Spinach pesto.. fry some garlic in a little bit of oil, add spinach (I had some basil in the freezer too so put that in for a little bit more of a pesto taste).. when spinach is wilted, take off heat, grate in some parmesan, and then blend in food processor until it's pesto consistency! Have made it with pine nuts in before as per proper pesto but not necessary.
Went for a walk and did a little bit of foraging this afternoon and picked some dandelions, nettles and elderflowers so more cooking when I got back - a nettle/ dandelion 'pesto' as per the spinach one above (but with a couple of tablespoons of tinned tomatoes added as it needed more liquid), and some elderflower cordial (one of my favourite tastes in the world, there's nothing quite like it).
KC - I know the feeling about finding it hard to get motivated to cook, part of the reason I've been doing lots of it the last few days.. I now have enough for about 20 meals with the minimum of cooking required, just need to put some pasta/ rice on when I get in from work, or grab a curry with pitta bread... plus cereal bars and pastries for snacks all week. I am bloomin' sick of washing up though!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
