mioliere - sorry that you are having a hard time at the moment, you don't sound like you're moaning at all, simply getting shot of the stress and we all need that sometimes. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: <- bunch of odd looking hugs to make you smile

I've been marking for a couple of hours and I have to stop for a bit as I'm bored. I have 400 papers or so this year (which is about normal) and I tend to look at them twice just to make absolutley sure that I haven't missed anything. So I'm flitting between that and some things I have to type up for a collaborator as it breaks both of the workloads up into little bits. I don't like paperwork days, but I have to do this lot before my boss reappears on Wednesday.:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Afternoon all
I managed to stay at work from 7:30 til 2:30, but had to come home then as I was feeling rough again.
I've managed to put washing on the line & water my hanging baskets. I'll do spag bol for tea with salad, though I can't see me eating any of it. Then I have to feed next doors cats, they now have a much simpler feeding regime, it was a nightmare last year, I had to make 3 visits twice a day & I think I'll be in bed straight after.
Hugs to Smokey, Annie, Pen Pin, Mrs Mix, Jannie, happy belated B'day to Celyn.
Hugs Hester

Hello everyone
Mioliere, sometimes you just have to vent. Lucky for your OH that you have us to tell and that there are some here who understand exactly how frustrating your situation.
Anniestar, I'm sorry to hear about the tragedy which has struck your family. Hugs to you and yours.
Well, the hen party went OK in the end. I know I'd been yapping on about how I didn't want to go, but it was lovely to see everyone again. The cost of it was a bit much though - came to about £70:eek: by the time it was over. There was no way of avoiding it either, without looking like an utter meany or letting people pay for me which I find totally embarrassing. I'd have planned it a bit better but it was all organised at rather short notice. Never mind, just a wedding outfit and a wedding present to sort out now.
Today my job search plods relentlessly on. I've followed up with an agency about a job I was in for - or rather the person I needed to speak to was not available, and she would phone me back. Pigs will fly sooner, methinks. It's really disheartening to get treated like that, but I do have irons in other fires, so not all hope is lost.
My friend called round unexpectedly, even though she knows I require about 24 hours notice so that I can tidy up etc etc. I am so incredibly untidy. Anyway, she didn't mind, and didn't say anything and didn't stare at the mess, but just sat and chatted. I know I should join the flylady thread, but it's a bit long and scary now.
Mary43...making Christmas cards already? I am seriously impressed!
There's nothing else new in SnowyOwlsVille, so I'll plod off again and do some more job hunting.
Bye for now.

i have tried to join OS a few times, without much luck, mainly because I dont have my own house and dont cook yet (good old mum!) so i dont feel i fit in too well here.
What sorts of things could I try to be more OS moneysaving? I make my own cards, it saves me a fortune

Firstly as ever thank you all so much. I really am not doing so brilliantly at the mo. Had to go shopping and as DH needed something from Wilkinsons went to morrisons. I managed to spend £44 on very un OS stuff. Just got stuff to fill up on rather than to eat(if you see what I mean) few baking spuds, two pizzas, red and green pesto, filled pasta , milk , bagged salad and shop baked bread:o just stuff. The freezer is not very full (was trying to run it down prior to getting back on track) but we still have packets and packets of saussages. Should do SOMETHING but other than crying(a particular talent right now) cant seem to settle to anything. I am so tired but can't sleep either. I keep "replaying" things and hope that death was instant rather than lingering and lonely.
I AM in hte middle of answering my wonderful PM's but can only do one at a time so please bear with me.
I ma really sorry to be such a drain, I know you have stressful and busy lives and do feel increadibly selfish with the current postings. You do mean the world to me and I am really not ignoring you. I hope all our poorlies get better soon, and that everyone is well and happy. I did write a list but can't find it so just for now please accept my love and best wishes. Have a nice afternoon/evening. Ann xxxxxxBlind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.

Anyway, suffice to say that he and I have had a blazing row - we never row normally - and I've thrown all the books in a heap on the floor and flounced off stamping my foot and threatening to 'scream and scream and scream until I'm sick'! I would dearly love to know why he thinks that is so amusing!
!
Kathy, as much a I sympathise, and I really do, the above really made me laugh, every now and then I have a huge temper tantrum, and end up throwing something on the floor and flouncing out, my OH has no temper whats so ever, and finds it all amusing, which makes me even more mad, I say to him 'don't you dare laugh  ' They just don't understand do they ?
I would suggest a big glass of wine, a hot bubble bath, and an early night, hope you make it up with him, love and hugs xx
hester, hope you feel better soon xx
Anniestar lots of hugs to you all xx0 -
Kathy you are not moaning, honestly:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I moan all the time, apologise for it, then carry on moaning. It's ace:D

HESTER if you have the same bug as me, how the hell can you cook?I can't even look at food at the mo_pale_ _pale_Hopefully I might lose some weight.I'm gonna try n go back to work tomoz though, if I can stand up without going dizzy:o I need the money:o
Daren't go and see Dad today in case it's a bug and not food poisoning, as I suspect:("You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Hi all - thanks again for your kind words. RedRuby - I've just read my last post and it made me laugh, too! I sound like Violet Elizabeth Bott, a real spoiled brat! My DH doesn't do 'angry' so he can't understand!
Lesley Gaye - SO SO glad I'm not the only one; the thing is I can't always quiz him immediately - for one thing he is typical male and can't do two things at the same time, like listen to a question and come up with an answer, and for another, he is always buzzing about like a b***** manic bee!
Celyn and Snowy Owl - thanks for the understanding words - it's so good to be able to let off steam and coming on here has helped me to calm down at last. I'm just keeping up the 'glaring martyr' look in DH's presence for a couple more hours! The 'odd looking' (((hugs))) are very welcome, Celyn!
Anniestar - you're in the right place here; please don't feel you are being a drain. I've been incredibly selfish today for which I feel dreadful when there are far worse things going on for lots of people here and especially for you today. Please post whenever you want to - we are here for you.
(((Hugs))) and thanks to everyone - what would I do without you?
KathyXX
Welcome to JamTart - it doesn't matter that you don't have a house! You're more than welcome and will soon feel like you're one of us, I promise! Glad you could join us!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Mioliere -"glaring martyr" - oh yes I've been practising that look all weekend - good for you. When mr Caringsharing was contracting I did his books - nothing as complicated as what you're doing but our "salary" was drawn every three months after the books were done so they needed to be done on time. I would sit down at the spreadsheet while he proceeded to empty all his pockets of crumpled up bits of paper and separate all the bus tickets and chewing gum wrappers from the important invoices and receipts. when I did a Tru one day and resigned from housework I was rewarded with the presentation of a big wodge of laundered paper that turned out to be that quarter's accounts - my fault you see for not doing his washing. i resigned my position as company secretary that very day so he gave up self employment but it took him another six years to properly wind his "company" down.
was meant to meet dd(18) in town to buy dd(11) a lunch box and joggers for school - got halfway there and realised I'd left the oven on so jumped off bus, threw dd at her dsis as well as my bank card and managed to catch the same bus back on the return part of the loop - dd will put her dsis on the bus and I will flag it down by the house - I love hail-and-ride buses. As for the bread - well let's just say that a couple of thousand more and I'll be building myself a house.I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
