OS Daily Monday 23rd June

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Monday 23rd June. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning everyone

Didn't do any ironing at the weekend  The consequence of this is I have to iron everyone's school/work clothes now  So I'm just wasting a bit of time on here :p

Need to make packed lunches as well.

Tea tonight will be chicken in creme fraiche and pesto with cherry tomatoes and tagliatelle - yum yum!

Anniestar - huge (((((hugs))))) will be thinking of you

Have a great day everyone

Morning stressedoutmumof1 and all who follow!

Not a good weekend for me. I fell twice, so now I've got a bruised foot and knee on the right and a huge graze on the left knee! Scraped my new jeans too, so I wasn't happy.:o

DS discovered he'd finished college when he went in Tuesday, thought it was this week!:rotfl: He had a great time at Download, came home full of it.

Wanted to cheer myself up after the falls, so had my nails done, made me feel much better:T

DD still has her "boot" on her ankle, two more weeks yet. She's bored to tears with it, can't wait to get back to work.

(((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) to all who need them. Didn't get on here last week, so I'm behind.
Anyway, enjoy the day, the sun's shining!!:T

    Good Morning

(((hugs))) to Anniestar and anyone else who needs one. Hillstep hope your bruises and grazes heal asap.

Lovely and sunny here, think the forcast is good all week. Got lots of washing to do so will aim to have am empty washing basket by tonight, the ironing basket will be full though.

Paperwork to do today - lots of. Didnt have anything on the menu plan today so freezer dip for tonight.

Just off to have a look at the greenfingered thread - all our veg is doing well, need to find out if I should be doing anything else.

    Have a great day.

Yes I'm back....at last. I know its been a very long time (trouble is now 19 months old!)....but we've now got mobile broadband at home. Sounds odd, but for us its the best solution at the moment.

The little one has turned into a persistent, determined, crafty little toad. Always getting into trouble, and then always does the same thing again, and again, and again etc.....

As for old style, I'm still baking bread, making cakes, and keeping an eye for the best deals on food. Most of the washing is dried outside now. Especially since I'm still a SAHM...and loving it. Well, the good days anyway.

    Morning all
Didn't get out of bed at all yesterday as I had food poisoning, still I'm slowly getting ready for work.
Not sure what we are having for tea, but it will have peas with it as my first crop is ready.
    Have a good day.

    Morning everyone

Work today - but absolutely cream crackered after the 'ground force' weekend - the garden is beginning to look nice though - or at least it will whne the big pile of clay clods have gone in the skip - if we can get one at such short notice, otherwise it will be a gradual erosion of the pile until the summer holidays!

Another offline message from oh, so still no proper contact. So glad I have been busy this weekend otherwise I would have been entirely focussed on that. Still no idea what to do - just hoping it all becomes obvious. This evening will be hard as I'll be back on my own again.

Anyway - better get moving. Hugs to all who need them - especially anniestar and her family.

Have a good day - at least the sun is shining and the wind has dropped!!!!

Kyle I think you should go out for the day on your own with the kids or even away with them I always do as OH is a shift worker and I cant be stuck in with 3 kids plus they cant play out round here as i dont think its safe as the other kids seem to have been dragged up

    Good morning everyone

Lovely weekend in the garden, and we ate outside a lot. However, after the wind yesterday, I'll need to go and assess the damage this morning. Some of my plants were pretty battered yesterday, so they'll need some pruning.

Planning to do a mamoth baking session today. DH is giving a presentation tomorrow, so I've offered him a huge cake to take to that.

rchddap1 - great to see you back - time to update your avatar ;)

Hester and Hilstep - hope you feel better today

Anniestar - hugs to you and yours

Have a great day, Penny. x

    Morning Everyone

Glad to hear your weather has turned better :o:lipsrseal: hope it continues to improve but the forecast I saw last night doesn't look too hopeful "up norf"

:grouphug: Hester - sure you are up for work? Hilstep - sorry to see you fell and spoilt your jeans Pen-Pin - will you have to stay in for the infusion?
    Anniestar, dogrose, poppy :grouphug:

Hope you plants are OK Pen-Pen, rchddap1 nice to see you on here again. Kyle - I know you are fairly isolated but is there any sports centres near you doing activity days for the boys - our DS loved those, footy, badminton, gymnastics, followed by swimming. These are fairly cheap and cheerful. Also did you see on Hotdeals that there is 50% off a family rail card 22nd June - 1st July?

DS has assessment testing for a job in the smoke today so finger crossed there.

Had a phone call from Telefonica re this phone line around 4ish yesterday  , we managed to communicate in half-English/Spanish to tell him the internet connecton problems, he then said 10am tomorrow morning, so whether they are ringing back or turning up here I am unsure so staying put JIC.

    Take care - DG
