Hi Mummysaver, thanks for the info re Tesco. I can't believe they don't sell bath sponges but at least I now know why I couldn't find them on the site

rchddap1 - great to see you back - time to update your avatar ;)

It will be updated....as soon as I sort all my pics and my PC out. Had to buy a new hard drive at the weekend (mine went pop). So its taking some time to get all my backed up data back on again. Will get there eventually.

    morning all

haven't been on for a few days as there has been a lot going on.

DD1's bankruptcy is continuing, but they have found what seems to be a good advisor to help them through it. As they put money into the business he can't represent them on the personal side as it is a conflict of interest (they are creditors of the business) but is giving them lots of advice on that side of it nevertheless.

It seems that it is perfectly acceptable (his phrase) for them to sell the house themselves (which gives them back control of the timescales) and keep back 12 months worth of rent and council tax to set themselves up. That will help them a lot while they are getting jobs etc. I have directed them to the relevant board on this site, don't think they have looked yet SO much to sort out bless them.

Meanwhile DD2 called and said that 2 weeks ago!! she had had an armed break in at her house. She didn't want to worry me and wanted to deal with it a bit before telling me - I DO wish they wouldn't do that! She is being very grown up about it all and is, in fact, dealing with it very well. She and her DD came up for the day on Sat and I was able to give her lots of big hugs and listen to her going over and over it, so felt that I was able to help a bit.

Otherwise! had a really nice weekend. Saw 2 close friends on Friday for dinner and 4 different close friends (that's my entire close friends circle!) for lunch on Sunday. And of course they were all lovely about everything and I feel refreshed and recharged after enjoying their company and having some laughs with them all.

hilstep2000 - sorry to read of your fall and your jeans, hope you feel better soon
Anniestar - thinking of you and yours
mioliere - it's not nice not being able to sleep is it, I get much the same sometimes when I'm worried about something, keep going over and over it when I'm trying to drop off, doesn't help either does it! Hope you get back on an even keel when you get the opportunity when you are on your own for a little bit

hugs to all who need them and all who are feeling fragile and in need of some TLC ((((((((hugs)))))))) :grouphug:

    Morning Chumms,
and <<hugs to those in need this morning >>
I am full of beans today, as this week is the last five days of my r/therapy and Friday afternoon, all being well, I shall celebrate with a large G&T ice and slice.
Its been a long haul over the past year with different setbacks, and the chemo ect,. but I can see light at the end of the tunnel at last .
I am off to Norfolk on Saturday with my old friend June for a week.Last year we did the U.S. 'Thelma & Louise' style this year its more of a 'Driving Miss Daisy' round the lanes of Norfolk. So if anyone sees to old trouts (one with a very short five o'clock shadow on her head) in a Vauxhall Zaphira around Norfolk give us a toot ! :)
R/T is a late one today !7.40p.m. so I shall have traffic both ways on the M2 & M20 at tea-time tonight .Still never mind it means then I'll only have four more days to go when I get home.
I had my lovely sis-in-law Val to stay over the week-end which was nice, and she's just gone home this morning .Not a lot of shopping to buy this week as I want to run down my fresh stuff if I can.
I am sitting at my window looking out over the Medway River and the sun is shining and it looks like its going to be another nice day.Have done my washing so that's all blowing well. and hopefully I shall get it ironed this afternoon.Life just gets better and better doesn't it
    have a great week everyone
    Cheers JackieO xx

Celyn, was it your birthday at the weekend ?

Yep - I was offically older on Saturday :rotfl: *makes mental note to act her age rather than her shoe size* A friend at work has just presented me with a cake - it's covered in lots of jelly sweets which was so sweet of her :) Didn't do much, but that's nice sometimes :)
:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin
:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:
