Hello everyone
Well, I'm pooped. Just waiting for the overnight guests to finish with the bathroom then I can go to my teeth and crawl into bed. I was on my feet most of the day from the early cooked breakfast until about 8pm and they were killing me. I ended up putting my feet in a bowl of warm water with olive oil and fresh rosemary about 9pm whilst my guests did the drink pouring and cups of tea etc. It was quite nice to be waited on for half an hour.
We all had a lovely time. The weather was v. kind and we were able to eat out in the garden. The kitchen is a bit of a mess right now but the DW has been on twice already - the rest can wait until the morning.
The overnighters need to be away by 10am tomorrow so I guess it'll be a fairly early start for more cooked breakfasts. Then I'm just going to have a chill day - there's washing to be done of course, but I think I might find me a book and just veg. I've earned it!
Have a safe night ladies - sleep tight.
ThenI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Can I join in please. I have joined the grocery challenge and need to get on top of the housework as well. I am a neat freak so don't have clutter but I am retired and I find it so hard to get motivated to do housework these days. When I worked I used to get up early to do the housework before I left for work but now that I have all day its so hard to get started. This thread may be just what I need to kick my up the bum. Is there a list of what should be done each day or do I have to do that myself? And what about the jobs that don't need to be done every week? How can I remember when to do them? I used to be so organised I can't believe I am having trouble keeping on top of things. What a plonker.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

Oh question.. in christmas shopping mode.. Would we recommend a Wii for the boys??? They have a PS2 but they have played all their games to death and I was hoping to pass that on to the little pinks and thought of replacing it with a Wii... opinions welcome!!
I am now going to resort to thinking online.. lmao.. it works for me.. and I am very open to suggestion!!
I have sorted the 3 small pinks for christmas and hope the Wii + games would sort the 2 small boys.. leaving the large oik and the 2 large pinks.. the largest pink is almost sorted.. (straighteners, clothes, shoes, slap, books and suchlike.. maybe a new mobile).. the smaller pink is very very hard to buy for as is the large blue.. What do you get a 17 year old spoilt git?? (£150 budget.. smellies, trainers, clothes... and.. what?)
Birthdays.. I have 6 more before christmas.. the next 2 are sorted.. DS1 will no doubt get ANOTHER mobile to lose.. (ETA.. no.. he is getting a bike to to and fro him from college!!) and the 3 small pink things are easy enough to buy for. And maybe something for my sisters baby... I am thinking a box of some sort filled with relevant baby stuff.. all Boots points of course!.. socks, bibs, wipes, practical stuff) (£135 in points so far this year) it is SUCH a good job I chopped up my mothercare storecard!!
I have 6 more paydays before the big day so have to do a child a month from here on in.. I don't care that you lot don't want to think about it when summer isn't even upon us yet I need to get this sorted..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Bag, that's it, it's in the suitcase!!! You're a genious!!! (and I am useless for stashing stuff because I forget where I put things)
My boys love the Wii, highly recommended to improve motor control tooGames pre owned are coming down in price, probably due to the amount of them out now. PS3s are good aswell, I doubt the Blue Ray HD thing with ever take off but wow films hav eso much detail on those, but games for the Wii I think there is more available for children. Wii kids games second hand are cheaper than PS3 ones usually aswell.
:rotfl: we found the old megadrive today in a sort through so can see that coming back out again
My final list before sleeps DW, WM empty and onto airers (hopefully one more load and we're caught up again) reload, dogs out and watered, throw DPs stuff down the stairs inc duvet! I get the bed all to myself tonight, bums, that means I have to switch the light off myself. I always doze off with it onTomorrows mission might have to be find myself a bedside lamp, aswell as some floor in my bedroom........
One day I might be more organised...........
