Thanks so much Hollypear for making me laugh out loud
Just what I needed - and this forum at the moment I think!
Re sinderalla's post I only do local jobs that I can get to within 5/10 minutes in places I visit anyway. I'm in a small town so limited jobs but enough to do a couple a week which is fine by me. At the moment any money coming in is better than none since I gave up my part time job due to illness. I enjoy MSing much more and it gives me the flexibility I need. I couldn't work in an office for various health reasons or commit to set hours.
But the fees just aren't good enough to cover longer distances unless I can combine them with something I'm already doing. Like having a 'free meal' lol before going to the pictures.
Locally the wages are crap, even if you're a temp. Doesn't matter what you do its all rubbish unless you have professional qualifications. So for me, MSing a good option16 x Sanyo HIT 240w panels, 3.84kWp, south facing, 30 degree slope in the SW, 4.4 Eltek HE-t inverter installed 27/03/120 -

Glad I cheered you all up.:rotfl:It could only have happened to me. While everyone on the flight was panicking and praying I am thinking to myself .....Will the MS company send flowers to my funeral. !!! Or more likely they wouldn't have known about it and thought why did they not get my report and give the flight to someone else.
I went back to fones4u today as they haven't transferred my PAC code and the bloke told me how to correct that. I just happened to mention all the fotos I took of my eyeball and got one of those " YOU STUPID WOMAN looks"
Lucky for him I wasn,t MS'ing him.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
You'll find that the mantra for Mystery shopping is not to cause a scene or be memorable when doing a visit.
Had you put that extra information in the original post it would have been a little clearer, though why you threw a tantrum or why RE told you to complain is beyond me.
Less experienced shoppers reading your post would think it is OK to cause a scene.
If you do, then you become memorable and it is more likely that the shop will dispute your report, regardless of how accurate it is.
This mantra isn't necessarily true. I shop at least 2 completely contradictory companies. One clearly tells you to raise any issues you have at the time, whilst the other tells you to accept anything that happens without mentioning it. Clearly different clients want different things. And I have experienced such bad service in the past that 'throwing a mini-tantrum' is the only way to get things put anything like right!
My advice to new or less experienced shoppers is simply to take a copy of the instructions with them, hidden (of course) somewhere about their person. Then in the case of memory failure, these can be consulted in the privacy of the loo!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Your quotes
How do you know it was an associate?
BTW:
I hope I'm not sure what you mean by this....
I am trying to put across to others that you could have been "Shopped" by MS Co's reps and not necessarily another "normal" mystery customer.
Either way it is a warning to others to not put too much detail in their posts.
I was told it was an associate who reported me to the company.
An associate is one that does work for them, i.e. me or you.
I accept I posted too much information, but a PM would have been nice, as others have warned on here about posting fees / information and the poster has removed the relevant words / numbers.
However, I know, let's just go to the company and shaft this person as they have the jobs that I want. So I'll play dirty tricks as I cant get the jobs by playing fairly.
Thanks to all for the PM's, as stated it's important for a bit of solidarity.0 -

Could you tell me who this is please so if I work for them I can kick up a stink when I don't get served in time.

Just a bit of advice please - I'm trusting that the MS companies mentioned in the opening post here are ok. I'm a bit nervous about entering my details on the internet! I'm just registering my profile with Grassroots (being the first on the list) - is it definitely ok to give them stuff like my bank details?0

Possible breach of confidentiality is not the only reason for not posting too much on here! There are MS shoppers out there who seem to take delight in 'shopping' others to companies they work for.
I think I would always be wary of people that keep asking for info on jobs yopu have done and keep sending PMs asking the same questions, even when it has been made clear to them that you won't answer them!0 -

I first heard about mystery shopping about 10 years ago and Grass Roots is the first company I ever worked for. You should have no worries about giving them your bank details or to any other mystery shopping company that people talk about regularly on this forum - see Timmne's original post on this thread for the companies that people regularly work for - Grass Roots is listed there.
I find Grass Roots very easy to work for and without too much report writing either - each comment is restricted 255 characters and they usually only expect comments when there is a problem on judged criteira (it is called exception reporting I believe).
It is just a shame that Timmne's list is not in alphabetical order!0 -

Hi and welcome. I set up a savings accounts just to have my MS money paid into. This way it saves giving out your main account number. I've been with Grassroots for a while and have had no problem with them paying or giving my bank details.0
