I did my first job for RE on the weekend - underground sandwich shop but they've e-mailed me to say "A Proofreading query has been raised on your report". Any idea what this could be? I will need to call in the morning.
I had this for one of my reports as I think some text had gone missing when being processed as the sentence hadn't completed, so prob nothing to worry about. I still got 10 points so didn't lose any.“A banker is the fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining and wants it back the minute it begins to rain.” Mark Twain0 -
Does anyone actually make any money from Mystery shopping? I submitted my first report the other day and was asked how much 'the item' was. Only to discover that's all I'm being paid for!......."Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0

I'm sure its fine Ellie - maybe just a grammar thing or something - I can get in a muddle on RE with Firefox and when I re-read it at the end it seems to take away spaces from sentences and things and I have to go through it again.
I've already mentioned this to LTD, but just want to say on the thread, that I agree that it is a very sad individual who felt it necessary to use such underhand tactics - and I believe (and am sure most peeps agree) that the aim of this thread is to provide support, help and camaraderie to fellow ms'ers - and its a real shame that this has come to pass. Princess Leia is right that we all will have to take care with what we post.0 -

I just question why they didn't speak to me first, but putting personal gain before everything else i guess.
I think this behaviour is a downright disgrace and I'm sorry you had to go through it, LTDGala bingo wins £70!!! mystery shopping earnings: £0

I did an absolutely horrendous visit for RE today. It was to a New York Italian style restaurant. I have given it a 0 out of 10 rating and a really bad report throughout. I can't believe I had to wait 20 minutes, yes 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. No apology given. Then another 10 minutes for the starter. No apology again. And the main course arrived an hour after it was ordered. When I threw a mini mini tantrum, the member of staff was like DO I LOOK LIKE I CARE? I put in a really bad report and have had a few queries. Has anyone else noticed this? When you give a bad report they query you to the moon and back. It's so annoying. Anyway, mini rant over. Thanks. *** PS. Has anyone else ever felt like an invisible customer, cos me and my guest were exactly that today. Everyone that went in after us were served before us. What a shambles!0

As a mystery shopper:
You are supposed to write objectively and not create a scene.

You are forgetting that Mystery shopping companies REPS probably read this thread and it was they that "shopped" you.0 -
LTD I can't believe someone reported you to the company rather than send you a PM - that is just soooo mean. Big hugs.ilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0

.....and it was only a couple of pages back that we were all talking about feeling the love....
yes I know that some of us are in 'competition' with each other due to being in the same area (as was posted ages ago when someone (miserably) pointed out in no uncertain terms that this is not necessarily about supporting each other), but I think the colleagial support on here for what is effectively a very lonely kind of work is more valuable than any of us may realise. Yes, I know there are other forums out there, but I still say that without this forum, and the willing posters, we would be lacking. There are plenty of jobs to go around, the companies like to rotate jobs around different people anyway, and I think it's time for me to stand up and say I totally abhor the sneaky behaviour that ltd has experienced and appeal to everyones better nature. It was totally against decency and humanity.Gala bingo wins £70!!! mystery shopping earnings: £0

Throwing a 'mini tantrum' is more often than not explicitly against the shopper brief.
You shouldn't give a bad report because of certain aspects. By all means, mark down the service as poor and score appropriately, but other parts may score full marks.
For example, there can be very slow and poor service but full scoring spotlessly clean toilets.
You need to be objective and keep your cool.
Proof reading queries arise when you have not objectively and fully explained the situation.Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!0
