It isn't really a moan it just makes me laugh, what are they getting from it? At least I have lunch sorted for a couple of days this week!

    Paul

Paul I know your weren't moaning. I wasn't either. It makes me laugh too some of the naff assignment qualifying questions.

Like the well known company ( although I like them) who often have a question like "You need to do the assignment when a) It states the date on the coversheet. 2) a month later or 3) Whenever you feel like it.

That really makes me laugh. I love it.

I think us mystery shoppers should use a similar system when answering report queries...

"Please can you confirm that the floor was dirty"

    Dear MS Company,

    Please select the answer...
    1) The floor was dirty which was the reason behind me writing that.
    2) The floor was clean but my fingers slipped when typing.
    3) The floor was clean but since it was a Tuesday I decided to indicate it as dirty and slap the MOS for good measure.

    Hee hee Johnny good one.:rotfl:

Isn't it strange the companies that pay the least ask the daftest questions and query everything.

I got a cheeky email once from someone at RE saying my image of the receipt was blurred. So I sent another one off after photographing it again. Straight back came a very abrupt. WHY HAVE YOU NOT SENT AN IMAGE OF THE SHOP EXTERIOR.

Hmmph. I still had my copy of the briefing notes and they had not asked for an exterior shot of the shop. So I just fired an email right back saying. "Because the briefing notes didn't ask for one" I didn't hear another peep.

  • Hmmm. I applied for RE and got accepted, but don't think I will undertake ANY assignments with them as the pay is so low. I get the feeling that of 'crumbs from the masters table' is their attitude.

Along with reading notes, completing assignments, travel between assignments, completing paperwork records and actually filling in on-line questionnaire I suspect the rate of pay is around £3ph.

Anyone got any idea of their pre tax profits last year?
    "How much?????"

You are lucky Roxy. I registered with Bare ages ago and did the test recently. Passed it and got an e-certificate. Whoopy doo.

Applied for 3 jobs mid June and they are still pending!!!

Anyone know how long their jobs are "pending". Some had passed their date and they are still pending but with new dates.

    Aaaargh.

Bare are a law unto themselves with the pending jobs. The one I actually got allocated has been pending several times and when it too close to the due date I cancelled them. And added them a few days later :) I was quite surprised to get it. Just hope I get scored ok. The pending lark is a right pain. Makes you realise how good self-allocation is :D

Funnily enough I got an email from them asking me to do a job tomorrow. Problem is its the same place I went today :rotfl:Not sure I can do that without looking really suspicious

Oh how I agree with you Phil. I seldom accept any jobs for them now. I am doing a posh sandwich one next week but ONLY because I am already going to the city centre on another far better paid ( 4 times as much) MS and it will be nice to get my sandwich paid.

As for the huge list of pharmacy jobs on just now. There are dozens in my area. But you have to be getting a prescription and you have to use your reimbursement part on a hay fever remedy. Not a lot of good when no one I know has hay fever.

I reckon they have loads of staff. Look at their assignments and there is a different assessor for every one of them then over the while I have been with them I have been phoned by umpteen different proofreaders.

Roxy I would just brazen it out. After all as a genuine shopper sometimes I have shopped in the same shop twice because I forgot something. Just try and get a different assistant.

Hi Southern - I'm in the north east - Middlesbrough area.

Are you with Storecheckers? I keep being sent down to Middlesbrough, Redcar and Hartlepool areas for them, which is a bit of a long way for me as I live north of Durham.

Did an Electrical shop for RE at the weekend. One of the questions was something like "Did the sales assistant listen attentively while you were speaking?" so I replied "Yes"

They phoned me yesterday because I didn't make a comment. So I said well, he did listen attentively. And she said "How did you know he was listening attentively?":confused: For pity's sake ......:confused:

Then I was queries on another question. "Did the salesman refrain from using technical terms". I'd put "Yes" - and was asked to explain my answer!! How much more explaining can I do?

I just repeat the question back in my answer and that seems to work.

    eg:
Did the sales assistant listen attentively while you were speaking?
Yes the sales assistant listened attentively.

Were the toilets clean and tidy?
Yes the toilets were clean and tidy.

But I'm a quick touch typer so I doesn't take me long to type stuff up. Can understand it being a chore for people not used to typing.
Here I go again on my own....
