The mystery shopping thread - part 4

Hi Southern - I'm in the north east - Middlesbrough area.
Holly, thanks! I have registered with Optimum but still need to complete some sort of telephone assessment before I get on their list properly - I think it's a recorded message. I was waiting for a quiet moment without kids around. I guess I could try it today, just feeling a bit disheartened with the whole thing.
Also having problems with Gapbuster. I know I completed their application a few days ago but now when I go on the website I can't see anywhere to log in as an existing shopper, so I am having to go through the whole application again.0 -

SC I gave up on Gypbusters a long time ago. They are worse than useless. But then again I don't like cheap burger and pizza joints.
Hope you have better luck soon.Clique member no 1.:D0 -

Is there a simple way to tell which jobs are phone jobs, ie does it say on the main listing screen, or do you actually have to click on each job to see if it's a go-into-branch job or a telephone job? Thanks.
You definitely need to search by country - I find my town listed as the county. This is the quietest I've seen Bare at the moment, but they definitely get jobs up north very regularly. Make a note of the number of jobs at the top and you'll soon see when they have listed new ones. That way you only have to plough through when you are likely to find something.
I personally find their reports easier than some to complete.
GFK also do get a lot of jobs up this way, though again they are quiet today. They do get the phone jobs too, and you don't have to search - they list the jobs for your area for you.:A Sealed Pot Challenge - number 263 :A0 -

Still getting rejected for the electrical shops on GAP!!
I did too - I emailed them to ask why but surprise, surprise, no replyWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Did an Electrical shop for RE at the weekend. One of the questions was something like "Did the sales assistant listen attentively while you were speaking?" so I replied "Yes"
They phoned me yesterday because I didn't make a comment. So I said well, he did listen attentively. And she said "How did you know he was listening attentively?"For pity's sake ......
Then I was queries on another question. "Did the salesman refrain from using technical terms". I'd put "Yes" - and was asked to explain my answer!! How much more explaining can I do?We’ve had to remove your signature. have you seen the calls before with gfk? I mean the ones where you could do 50! I did them while my little one was asleep at lunch times. And I misssssssss them!
I have a phone call with GFK in august but thats it. (when I got that I started thinking that could be it for the other calls).
maybe I will actually get up and log in next time she is up! I just lay in the dark not feeling tired for 3 hours while I listened to her bouncing in the cot and calling out for me. hey ho.
As for Gap planning what happened with the electrical shops I thought exactly the same thing. Someone had a right laugh anyway! The numbers kept on going up and down. I'd love to see them again and see why they are being that bit more generous there and what proof of visit is required!0 -
I had my 1st assignment with Bare today and it went really well
I was kinda dreading it as it was an arranged interview but it was fine. Hope I get a decent score so I can self-allocate!
I'm still dreading my 1st RE report. I take it its best to comment in EVERY SINGLE FIELD! Crazy really. Oh well. I wish I'd been able to book an earlier visit for RE as its not a few weeks yet and it was the only thing I'd seen in my area. Now of course there seem to be more but I can no longer search until I've done the first job. I'd rather just get it over with! And reading about their reports makes it worse LOL16 x Sanyo HIT 240w panels, 3.84kWp, south facing, 30 degree slope in the SW, 4.4 Eltek HE-t inverter installed 27/03/120
