1.Uktim, the radio is FAULTY - I have proof of that!
2. dmg - If it is faulty JL send it back, they get the refund. Pure then reconditions it and sells it to numerous smaller traders who then sell it on Ebay.
You two sound like you work for JL customer services!!
Thanks for your help
You haven't answered me question. Why should JL replace a product for you that could have been bought from anywhere (or as uktim29 has suggested, been stolen)?
It is irrelevant that JL will not be out of pocket. You have no right to a refund/ repair/ replacement without proof of purchase.
As others have said, the statements made by bexlincs1 are complete rubbish.Gone ... or have I?0 -
I thank you all for the 'advice'. I don't thank you for the 'tone' of some posters, particularly the old boys network that seems to operate around here. :money:
I will be going to Pure direct, it seems that the fault is a common one.0 -
Um...i'm still confused...But I may be missing something so go easy...
OP you say you cant approach the purchaser yet you know it came from John Lewis because it was purchased with JL vouchers...how do you know? If they gave you the vouchers and you bought it then you should have a receipt...otherwise you would have to have approached them about it already to get to the knowledge that they bought it with vouchers...wouldn't you?
I'd either approach the gift giver or the manufacturer but I like to take the easy path in life...
I'm afraid you do need some sort of proof of purchase to return anything these daysGood Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

No ,we are advising you on your rights, which you chose to not acknowledge. I am afraid you will find the majority of us replying to your thread are female, not 'old boys'.
I think it is a good idea for you to contact the manufacturer0 -
Morty, my friend bought the present with her own JL Vouchers and doesn't have the receipt. I asked them earlier about it. So, with no PoP I will go direct to the manufacturer.
always..., no need to shout !0 -

I don't appreciate your tone either. I am a woman.
I have breasts.
