bexlincs,
thanks for the info.
I asked about checking the barcode but he said they didn't check all the barcodes??
At the time they looked busy and I got the feeling they didn't really want to help0 -
ONLY if you want a refund actually. if you want a replacement product by law they have to exchange it as they CAN find out if it was purchased from them without a reciept as they have a record of the barcode being scanned through the till!! although this only works if it is taken back to the same shop it was bought from.Pigsback 236/1000 (£30 vouchers claimed),Cashbackkings £10.93 pending (£13 claimed),Lightspeed 110 (£8 claimed),Onepoll £37.45/£40:think:0

I didn't ask about proving it's faulty I asked how will they know you didn't steal it.THE_LONE_RANGER wrote: »love these negative posts

please can you provide a link for this 'law'0 -
Uktim, I would have to have pretty big balls to steal the thing a while back and then have the gaul to bring it back when it is faulty to ask for a replacement.0

When I worked in retail I saw this every week, some places no doubt must get it daily. It's one of the oldest tricks in the book.
How are they suppose to know you're not one of them?
They don't ask for proof of purchase (and the sale of goods act requiring proof of purchase) for the fun of it.0 -
Uktim, I don't understand.
How would a thief benefit??0 -
