    Thanks El xxx

Right, I have found out what has happened.

Payroll messed up my payments when I went back from maternity leave. This has now been corrected, and all my payments are up to date, so the sharesave has matured on time.

BUT, because my payments weren't up to date at the time the 'maturity packs' were sent out, I didn't get one. They sent a second lot of packs out a month ago, but again, I didn't get one (I didn't know I was supposed to be getting one, so obviously I didn't question it).

So I have given my maturity instructions today......but it will take 14 days for them to be processed and for the shares to appear in my sharedealing account so I can sell them.

In the meantime, the shares are climbing, and are only about 15p short of what I need to become debt free.....the rate they are climbing, there's a chance they will hit that figure today. And I can't do anything about it.

The company's interim results will be announced in a few days, so there is a huge risk they will crash back down before I can sell them, if the results aren't so good. They could also go up......but I don't tend to be that lucky...lol! :wall: :wall:

Snags surely, if you want to sell today, they should make up the difference if the shares are lower than today when they can be sold IYSWIM. After all it's their fault.

They say they sent me a pack a month ago (I know I didn't get this, because I would have been all excited about it if I had). So I think they would just say it's my fault for not querying the lack of maturity pack (although if I didn't know they were sending it, how am I supposed to realise that it hasn't arrived?).

I could try and fight them over it I suppose, and if the shares do fall dramatically, I will put in a formal complaint, but until then I will just wait nervously for 2 weeks....arrrrggggghhhhhh!

Thanks Bubbles....I will somehow force the Pimms down..... :rotfl:

I'm not letting it ruin my day. It's quite sunny here, I have taken all the covers off the sofa, washed them, put them back on and the cushions are now outside, drying in the sun (I find they look nicer if I dry the covers actually on the cushions). I hate doing that job, so I am quite pleased it's done.

Just debating what nibbles to do for this evening. I might do nachos, or maybe just some nice crisps (I have some fake Kettle Chips from Lidl that would do nicely).

Ryan has completed one of his star charts today, so has won a prize - a Doctor Who umbrella. :D Despite me telling him some people think it's unlucky, him and Natasha are sitting under it in the middle of the living room! :rotfl:

Hypno - thanks very much for the pm - I have replied! :)

The share price is falling a bit now anyway, so I might be worrying about nothing.

I have a price in mind that would clear our debt, and come hell or high water I am going to get that price this year! :rotfl:

OMG I just saw a really dramatic arrest!

The kids were playing on a blanket on the front lawn, and I was weeding, and suddenly I heard some male voices shouting 'STOP you bleeping bleeper'. I looked up and there was a youngish lad/bloke running down the pavement towards my house, followed by 2 policemen. They caught up with him just opposite the far corner of my garden. They tackled him to the floor, and he was screaming and shouting at them in very colourful language. Then a police car flew round the corner and skidded to a halt, closely followed by a policeman on a bike, and then 2 police vans!

He was trying to fight them off, but they eventually got him in one of the vans and locked it, but I could still hear him yelling and kicking (I assume) the side of the van.

I do so like a little bit of local colour....
