Things like this do make you think about enjoying life while you can. I lost my father to cancer when I was 10. One minute I had a happy family and the next hes gone leaving us in turmoil. Not that I had a terrible childhood but it had a big impact on everything.
My wonderful FIL is now battling agressive prostate cancer. After a year of treatment hes now showing signs of tiredness/weakness. Its so sad.:j0 -
I agree.
OH found out last night that his friend of many years who he goes to see every Sunday has cancer of the liver, doctor thought is was back trouble and waffled about for months unitil its unfortunately too late to do anything now it looks like.
Lenny you are so sweet its nice to see the good in the world.
Now his twin has terminal bowel cancer...he was being treated for IBS for a year before he found out:o:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
It's all a bit scary really - I try not to be paranoid about things, but sometimes it pays to be a little bit paranoid I think.
We are just finishing the champagne from a couple of days ago - it's gone a bit flat but there's no way we are throwing it away!
Natasha finished her dinner a bit since, picked her plate up and took it into the kitchen!! I waited a minute and then followed her to see what she had done with it.....couldn't see it anywhere; not in the sink, on the floor, in the bin (her favourite hiding place). I was just about to give up when I opened the cupboard and there it was, neatly on top of all the clean plates. :rotfl: :rotfl: :A :A"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Len, for an old perv you sure do you come with some wonderful words
I'm not even going to start on what I think about that horrible disease, MB wants it to be a person so that he can kick the shiite out of it ~ I kinda understand what he means. I hope your stats are right but it sure dont feel like it
However, when you read what Mrs S jusr wrote about the beautiful Natty then things change perspective a little and no matter how much shiite and hurt there is there are wonderful plus sides to life ~ kinda makes it all a bit bitter sweet but better than not sweet at all
Sorry to waffle, hope I made sense:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Or I'll come round your houses and stamp on all your toys" The ONE, the ONLY, the LEGENDARY Gene Hunt :heart2:0 -
I kind of understand what Mr MB means too - I would certainly like to add a good few sharp kicks myself.
Yes, you made a lot of sense, it's easy to just see the bad in the world, especially when horrible things are happening to you, but life can be pretty amazing too sometimes. You just have to look a little bit harder for the good stuff.....kind of like truffles...."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Here here, but I see Mrs S that you have referred to MB as Mr MB does this suggest that Tig is Mrs MB?? *legs it*This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
