Just read my meters (had a job opening the cupboards due to ice between the top of the doors and the frames!).
Came and put the figures into my spreadsheet.....
Electricity (as I suspected) has dropped -- since elder DS came home on leave mid-November we've averaged 11-12.5kWh/day, but he's been away 9 days (came back last night), and our average this week is down to 9.4kWh/day :T
But  at the gas -- it's almost double what we used last week  Up from 265kWh to a whopping 495kWh  I knew it had been colder this week, but that's some major increase
I did put the water heating back on for half an hour and run the heating for an extra hour and a bit one night, as I treated myself to a bath. Felt like a change from a strip wash or shower, but I guess this accounts for some of the increase
But somehow we've still managed to maintain our 'C' rating
Last week you spent:- £16.66 on gas (s/sheet figure = £15.97)
- £7.92 on electricity (s/sheet figure = £7.52)
- £96.16 on gas (s/sheet figure = £103.27)
- £140.04 on electricity (s/sheet figure = £128.47)

For what it's worth, we're showing as 11/55 in the Carbon Club. Not convinced they've ever fixed this thoughCheryl0 -
Slight improvement on last week  used only 4kw for last week mostly fridge and phone after being away. :j Just got in and the thermometer in the living room was reading 5C  so back to normal consuption I think.
Carbon club rating is an A and 22 / 55.

I have a bath once a year whether I need it or not.:D0 -
Back to normal this wk. Well nearly dd only went back to school Wed. But I'm well down from what we was over Christmas.
- £4.66 on gas 133Kwh
- £6.48 on electricity 54 kWh
- £46.92 on gas
- £79.68 on electricity
Hopefully we should be able to reduce it to about £26:T0 -
It's been a cold week, with temperatures frequently below freezing (-12 one night) - so I have been heating one room only to 16c during the daytime, resulting in my gas usage increasing from 44kwh last week (heating one tank of water a day, and a little cooking), to 266kwh this week.
I'd have used fewer kwh heating electrically, but the higher cost per unit would have balanced it out.
Gas usage £9.31 - 266kwh
Electricity £3.00 - 25kwh0 -

Well my energy use has almost halved since DH has been away but this has involved pretty much heading to bed at 8pm with the laptop on weeknights which is really too much of a sacrifice to make under normal conditions. Electric use down from 84kwh last week to 43kwh this week (lower than it was when we were on holiday!) and gas down from 894kwh to 545kwh. And yet I am still at an E which is a bit frustrating (in fact really confusing!). Still I'm pretty pleased with myself, especially since it was so cold here last week. Oh and I was at no 9 in the club as well....
Hopefully won't be so cold this week. DH is away till friday so planning to keep usage down again...
EDIT** also meant to say that I got an electric bill last week and my usage for the oct-jan period has gone down from 1169kwh last year to 955 this year. This is the first full period I've been using Imeasure so some of the suggestions I've been taking have obviously helped, thanks everyone for all the tips.0 -
I've spent a lot of time outdoors and haven't had the heating on so much this week. Need to spend more time outside I think.:j

Again, WOW! I don't know how you do it, AFFL, I really don't. How do the i-measure figures compare to what you actually spend? You seem to spend less on electricity in a week than it costs me for my standing charge.
My coalman arrived - coal's gone up another £ per bag to £11.50 a bag for the cheapest delivered, almost 10% increase on last month's price and he reckons it'll go up again before Autumn. Top 'grade A' coal is now sitting at over £15 per bag most places. I'll be counting the lumps as they go on the fire, at this rate! :rotfl: One bag will need to stretch to 11.5 days now or my budget will be blown the first month of the year!I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
