I'm higher too fiend for life but it was expected, it's been really cold this last week and no sign of it changing any time soon! Up 42%.
Matched the average for April so I suppose not as bad as I feared, it felt more like March!0 -
Cold here in London too :snow_laug0
-
Last weeks readings gave me ('D' side of) "C" badges for both comparisons again
Useage this week is up 10% on electricity and 20% () on gasCheryl0 -
Stayed inside a unit for gas so 'no' usage as such. Electricity was 17 kWh.
Previous weeks use has dropped to double B.0 -

Certainly has been chilly. I've been wrapping a blanket round me with a nagging thought in the back of the mind that it is a bit chillier than usual. I somehow wrote off winter and thought that's that done and dusted. The thermometer gave me a bit of a surprise.:eek:0 -
Mine is up again we used an extra 14 units over the week but not sure how as nothing new has been brought into the house CH is off and water done by oil,
going to have to watch the meter a bit better0 -
Morning all!
We have had a few cold weeks haven't we? Fingers crossed the weather forecast is looking much better this week.

Well another cold week combined with a mammoth cooking session every day all week with both electric ovens going resulted in another bad week for me but as it's the coldest May since 1996 I'm refusing to feel bad about it. And the wedding went well so not begrudging the electric used.
Now have finished my first comparable quarter with the new heating system and hot water tank (removed storage heating and put in thermostatic electric radiators and took out electric shower and put in direct unvented tank)so here are the figures.
2009 6th Feb to 17th May I used a total of 5699kwh, on average 57 units per day. It cost with B.G last year £428.08 with my edf plan I'm on now it would have been £401.38
2010 6th Feb to 17th May I used 4703kwh a reduction of 17.5%, on average 47 units per day (till the cold returned I was on target for 20% but not to worry). And a grand total of £371.23 before dd discounts.
So one happy bunny, the idea was to improve comfort levels, the money saved is icing on the cake.:j0 -
Great News Jenny :T:T:T0
