Wow! It certainly fills the screen. I like it.
How does the site look on mobile devices?0 -
We had our first day yesterday without having to put the heating on :j
I know some people will have been doing this for ages already, but it's just been so cold in the evenings here (and we are wimps!) Last year before I started being more frugal with energy I discovered that the OH had the heating coming on in the morning for 30 minutes all throughout the summer - won't be happening this year I tell you!Mortgage: [STRIKE]08/13 £28,896.49[/STRIKE] 01/18 £00 -

You can also soak pasta, rice and other grains before cooking and this cuts down on the time to cook.
Great post, there, A Fiend For Life:T
Well tried it for the pasta and it came out well forgot to soak it first though. Certainly easier than the flask method.
I'll try the potatoes next. Looks like a good opportunity to do a large batch for Sunday roast or a hot meal and enough for a couple of cold meals for Monday and Tuesday in summer.0 -
Erm D for comparison group and C for all. So slightly down on last week.
This week is 22 kWh for gas and nearly fell off the stool when I realised the electricity was only 13 kWh.0 -

If you cold soak the pasta first, it hardly needs cooking . As it has already absorbed the water all you need to do is heat it up.0 -
18% down on last week but still not as low as the last week in March (+5%) so only the second lowest week of year so far. Finding the new site a bit problematic in displaying data, keeps getting error on page and not switching to the view I want
But finally found I still have 2 C badges for last week despite my little blip.

I love this weather
Im one very happy bunny this week we only used 80 units of electric for the week.
If we can keep usage around this mark the oil shouldnt make a dent in our yearly budget, tho long term we would like to find out the possibility of converting the oil boiler to run off a bio fuel mix.
Have a great week everyone
