Sorry you haven't got an interview pending, hopefully something will be along soon. Are there any other potential jobs in the offing?
As for the agent - well every day you don't get your MS returned sounds positive to me! Especially as it's a personal contact. I hope they don't keep you on tenterhooks too long though

Morning miggy. No writing on the go really... but I have an idea for a novel which I'd like to start. My brain feels a bit frozen while I'm waiting to hear though..! Thanks for putting a positive spin on the no news - I happen to know that the agent is extremely tied up with a big client, so I have to focus on that, rather than he hates my book. And I'm determined I'm going to find a job before Christmas!

I am sure that if he hated your book, it would have come straight back - he wouldn't hold on to it, would he? I think it more likely that either he hasn't looked yet or he's just snowed under with this other work.
Are you looking at seasonal work at all? I expect a lot of the posts will be allocated by now but they may have people drop out.
