Proud to be dealing with my debts
DFD - June '13, aiming for December '120 -
Hi,
I had my appointment with CCCS yesterday to discuss all my money problems and work out what direction I can go. They were brilliant but my head was frazzled after the call.
It has made me very upset and worried again as when my budget was worked out my outgoings are more than my ingoings just with general living not including the debt repayments. She explained that I cannot go on a DMP as I have no money to put towards paying off the creditors. All I can do is stall them for a few months and get more work - try and bring down some costs to then allow me to start paying them off.
What is so upsetting is my husband won't help me or discuss this with me although I am dealing with his debt as well.
I will be sending off the letters with a token payment and informing them of the situation.
I feel very low today and it is hard to have a positive attitude to rise above the problems and deal with them.
I am now trying to think of things to sell to raise some spare cash while I find some more work. I have sold most of my belongings which are worth anything including my motorbike - I do have a classic car in need of restoration which could raise £400-£600 but once again I have to sell my things but my husband won't sell his motorbike!
To be honest I am at my wits end as I am always having to sort it all out and have no support or help from him.
Sorry I am ranting but this forum is my saviour as all of you are so supportive and it is the only place I can discuss and get my worries off my chest.
I really want to get my debt sorted - I was so hoping that by talking to CCCS yesterday I would get the ball rolling but I have taken another step backwards!Jackie 710

Jackie not really sure what to say because as you put it its more a problem with your husband rather than the money. Money ones are so easy to solve really.
Sending a £1 if you can raise it will start you off so please don't feel you are doing nothing.
As for hubby how about a diet of beans on toast for a week or something really extreme and when he complains point out you need help in tackling things - you have done all your can so now you are cutting down - if you can think of anything else that will impact him like getting rid of television services etc do it! Sometimes actions speak louder than words.0 -
Hi,

ADVICE PLEASE, on dmp, re-mtg offered
Hello,
please can someone tell me if this will be an issue with our creditors.
just entering a dmp ... figures in signature below.
been offered re mtg, 106k left on mtg- 135k house value.
would really want to snap this offer up before our dmp becomes an issue on credit file... not yet missed any payments with creditors.
THINKG IS... they want us to pay off hfc and lloyds as a condition and they are happy for this to be added to the mtg along with £499 fee. so mtg would be £112000.
I can only see this as a good thing as we would only be left with the nr and hsbc to sort out.
can anyone see this as being an issue, its just the new payments would be just a few pounds more and would cover two debts, and would be on repayment!!!!
please advice, thoughts, questions, anything!!!
i have also posted this on the dfw board0
