Morning guys and hi to all the newbies I have yet to speak to (I never did get a number pretty please may I have one Ray?:D )
I havn't posted for an age, lots happening.
Had to give up college, so I'm now a stay at home mum with two sick kids, one well one and one at Uni! I also met asomeone when I went home for my cousin's wedding. It turns out that he is sweet, kind, funny and very supportive, who knew they existed!
I've got cheaper gas & electricity, home and mobile phones and been able to reduce my water bill! Saving where possible.
My income hasn't changed drastically, only lost the Adult learning Grant, but it did go down. CCCS have bee great and very supportive through all my tears and rants about evil banks:mad:
I've been over all the letters from Black Horse and I've come to the slow realisation that the Blighters have never stopped charging interest and late payment fees etc making a bad situation worse:eek: .
I remember reading on this thread about re-claiming charges and fees while on a DMP, citing hardship. It was so long ago that I can't find it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know.
Welcome everyone btw.LBM:FEB 2008

Ji jelly bean, sorry cant really answer your questions, only just at the begining of mine:eek:
But just wanted to say how the bit about becoming complacent about everything really cheered me up, all I can seem to think about at the mo is money and the DMP, to know you can to stage where thats not the case is really heartening.
Cheers and how amazing to be soon debt free:beer:
Trust me, it was hard for maybe the first year as you adjust to a very different lifestyle. This website is great though, i wish i'd discovered it sooner. When I got myself in debt I was at uni and hundreds of miles from my parents and felt hopeless. But i read about cccs in a magazine and when i spoke to the lady on the phone to do my first review it was scary but she was sooooo nice and it was the best feeling ever to know i wasn't on my own. I soon adapted to my new budget, haven't been on holiday forever or bought many news clothes etc...but i'm almost there so it does get easier.
Just last month tho, i got a letter from one of the creditors saying they wanted the full balance NOW! that was scary as i still don't have any spare hundreds lying around lol but i phoned cccs and they spoke to the creditors for me.
and some extra good news, finally got my new password for my online log in so i can check my dmp, and it was 1000 less than i thought it would've been! i'm so glad i didn't check it for a while!
good luck to you and your dmp

Morning
At last managed to get bank account sorted out had to wait for my driving licence to be returned as i forgot to get address changed, DVLA only took a week to return licence. So armed with my new picture driving licence and a couple of bills popped into town went into NatWest after their step account, woman went through process and then offered me a current plus which includes cheque book result. I was getting a bit worried as i had been rejected by Citibank. So spent yesterday changing bank account details with work and DDs once i get my cheque book and debit card then i will remove money remaining in my old HSBC account and put into my new NatWest account, and close account overdraft will go on my DMP with CCCS its only £100 which will make my total DMP £8500.
I feel less stressed now i have sorted out new account(keeping fingers crossed that HSBC dont raid my old account b4 i can remove remaining funds) and started paying my DMP also reading about other people problems has helped knowing i am not the only one going through all this thanks everyone :T
Regards

Andrew don't be feeling guilty. You're entitled to some entertainment or leisure time. You can't be expected to live like a hermit because you have creditors.0

Hi all, has anyone been in the position where a DCA has admited they cannot produce a copy of the CCA as requested but still gets hassled? They say they are trying to locate it through the original creditor. Surely they must know they are doing wrong and should lay low until they can find it (if it exists). I have a DCA not following the guidelines and phoning me - not sure what to do next. Any advice will be appreciated!0

Hi Everyone. One of my creditors , Citi Cards, has referred my debt to a DCA called , 1st Credit who are based in Reigate, Surrey.
Has anyone had any dealings with this DCA as I wondered what to expect with their treatment. Their first phone call was threatening which, I kind of expected. Thanks for any advice on them.0 -

Howdy all,
Hope all are well.
I recently started my DMP an have started getting letters from creditors telling me I had cancelled my DD and I should contact them asap.
My question is should I contact them or just wait til their internal mail gets my DMP letter around?
I'm inclined to ignore them but wanted to ask what you guys thought.
Thanks
