Hi, just had a thought I am starting DMP with CCCS on 1st October 2008, they have sent me all the paperwork which we havespent most of yesterday pulling together, and I suddenly realised they need my 1st payment soon - how to I get this to them.
I do not have a cheques book, I only get paid on 15th Sept and CCCS need my 1st payment by the 1st October to start the DMP.
And how do I get each payment to them - do they have CHAPS/BACS facility so you can sent it to them via online banking ?
Anyone know, or will I have to ask my bank to raise a cheque each month and post it to them when I get paid?
Thanks
D
CCCS send you a Giro slip for your first payment. You can just go to the post office. After that you can either set up a DD or use the Giro slip that is on your statement. It says in the booklet that they don't accept cash or personal cheques through the post.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

if you ring them they will give you the transcash account details and you can then pay at the post office
for november and onwards you will need to set up a direct debit
hope this helps0 -
Wonder if anyone can help....
I currently rent and pay a HUGE amount for it! I know I can reduce my rent significantly so i can up my DMP payments and am currently looking for a new place.
I have been doing a bit of research on the 'Credit Checks' the letting agents will do.
From what I can gather they only check to see if you have any CCJs registered against you or are BR.
I am obviously worried as I am on a DMP and have a few defaults issued.
Can anyone shed any light on this.....
Would be really grateful for advice. I was going to post on another thread but there seemed to be a few 'unfriendly' peeps out there!

...were drowning too trying to make ridiculous payments. My virgin card and my dh's ms card were both GOING UP and we would never have paid them off ith minimum payments and we can't afford even minimum payments let alone more. It was just spiralling as dh withdrew cash (more fees- higher interest) from the cards to meet minimum payments. Each month the total debt got higher and higher. Well now it's stopped (hopefuly!) and we can look forward to paying off our £49,000! x:eek: LBM August 2008:eek:Total debt £51914.74 Paid off so far £47,611 DMP started November 08 Current debt £4,303.73Proud to be dealing with OUR debt ! :T0

HSBC have said they will accept my offer of reduced payment IF I agree to combine all 3 debts (loan, CC and overdraft) in to a managed loan. I'm fairly sure I read that these were bad things to agree to? It said the managed loan would be for 63 payments which is a lot longer than the CCCS DFD of 4 years 1 month.
Symesd, I had to make my first payment in cash at the post office. Luckily I had a couple of days from getting paid on the Friday to having to make the payment on the Monday, There would be some months where I wouldn't have been able to get the £465 in cash by the first.

Hi All,
Some good news... GE have written to say that they're accepting our payment proposal through CCCS
MBNA (3 x credit cards) are still sending the standard letters, but overall it's not too bad at the moment. Phew!
One question for all you knowledgeable folks though... I have a bank charges reclaim on hold with the courts since last year. The bank is Abbey, but the account is an old now closed account. We also have a credit card with Abbey that is part of our DMP.
So, under the "hardship" guidelines, can we ask Abbey or the court to revisit this claim now, which if successful would be offset against the debt?
Thanks,
