    Thanks

CCCS will contact them (as soon as they have your signed contract and copy statements) with proposals for payment amounts ;)

They contacted my bank about 2 days after they got my signed DMP contract :D

I think the letters must be starting to get through.

Smile bank have sent me one to say they have accepted my arrangements with CCCS :j

HSBC Card Services have said 'thank you fo rletting us know you are having difficulties (rolls eyes at the fact they already knew this and have had SOA's offers etc for over 5 months now!) and they want me to fill in a form showing my Income & Expenditure so they can arrange an acceptable payment

MBNA gave me a shirty call this morning saying basically the same as HSBC that when they get details from CCCS they need to go through a full Income & Expenditure so THEY can work out a payment

Least things are now moving along ... do I need to fill these forms in? as surely thats what CCCS is sending them and I am not suppose to be making arrangements individually to my creditors

No. Write back and say if they need I&E then CCCS have your up to date list - they are hoping to catch you out and miss something off your list etc (I think). Or else it's automated letter.

CCCS are dealing with the payment negotiations and it is unfair on your creditors to pay more as CCCS have worked out pro rata payments ;)

    Thanks everyone :-)

Yellow Monkey- you achieved the impossible and made me smile. Thanks.

Ex Spendaholic- The mobile/ Phone/ TV kind of hides the fact that I get a special package from virgin with 800 minutes for 30 pounds. I really need this as I'm Irish an it's my only way of staying in touch with family including a sick Mum who can't us the net. I only put a fiver on my phone every month to keep it working in case of an emergency.

I'm also really scared of being without health insurance as I'm a diabetic and you never know when you really need it...

But thanks for the the davice about changing numbers, I never really thought about doing that, but it's a great idea- I'll give it until my first DMP payment goes through and then if they're still calling me, I'll change it. I kind of don't want to have to explain why I've changed my number to family and friends and no one knows what's going on.

I didn't want my friends knowing so I told them that I was getting strange phone calls and no one batted an eyelid.
  • Just had a look at Rays "Healthy Pets" insurance site and they've quoted £11.36 for our 2 crossbreeds on Bronze insurance. Does that sound reasonable

Not sure what the excess would be though.

Currently with AFI and paying roughtly £24 for the 2 policies (wont give a multipet discount unless I have 3 or more pets!) But its on Gold Standard so more cover possibly.

I have had my 1st Default Notice letter from Egg today. Even tho I've been told this is a good thing interest-wise (only missed 2 proper payments) it's still a scary thing to receive.
Do all Default letters state that they are going to instruct their solicitors to issue proceedings?

Yes they all threaten court action etc. Don't panic.

Some banks have to do it to allow them to stop interest. Some think that a big black mark on your credit rating will make you pay in full :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My ones from Mint were months ago and they haven't issued any proceedings at all ;)

  • Hello all,

I've been pointed in this direction by Rayday2 (thank you!).

yesterday i finally bit the bullet, admitted to myself that i was sinking fast, and started to arrange a DMP with Pay Plan. I got their detail through work about a fortnight ago, but have only just bultiy up the courage to call them - I'm a great one at burying my head in the sand, which i guess is how i got in this mess in the first place!

I'm currently going through a divorce, as part of the settlement i picked up our debts, which were in my sole name anyway, and i was continuing to pay for the mortgage, bills and maintenance for a numebr of months. This combined with having to many nights out (some form of release possibly!?) and all of a sudden my bills are costing more than i have coming in.

Pay plan were excellent (only limited experience i know), they were very understanding and talked me through everyting. I still have concerns - what if i can;t open a basic account, what if the creditors don;t accept my DMP - but atleast i'm taking action. And hopefully getting a little control ver my finances, taking a longer term view rather than living week by week, and hoping things sort themselves out!!

Anyway, best stop now, was wondering what i was going to write here and all of a sudden war and peace has appeared!

Hello all, hope things are moving in the right direcion for you, as i think things are starting to for me!
