I owe 10 Creditors £6012.90 this includes
6 payday/ high interest loan companies. PTP, SDC, Pinewood, Provident, Quickquid and Payday UK. I was with some of hem for years but robbing from Peter to pay Paul eventually caught up with me.
1 catologue now with a DCA Rialable collections
HSBC overdraft (no action being taken yet)
Lowell
And a vanquis credit card.
Because of the type of companies I owe, I'm getting over 100 calls a day- it's become worse since I told them I was arranging a DMP and since PayPlan has contacted them. The Payday loan companies insist on calling and refuse in general to contact me in writing... and when I ask PayPlan what to do, they don't seem to know much about PayDay loan debt and tell me to get them to ring PayPlan, which they won' do, the want PayPlan to ring hem. I feel like I'm going round in circles, and am constantly avoiding my phone.
I know it's my fault fo being in this mess, bu I'm trying so hard to sort it out and I feel like I'm getting nowhere.
Sorry for the moan.LBM June 2008 Debt at LB £6906.65 :eek:Payments to date-£2933.871 year to lose:j 20 pounds- September 2009 (9 so far) (Weight loss the old style way)"A life lived in fear, is a life half lived"0 -
Hello everybody (sorry I am late :rotfl:feeling a bit icky this morning )_pale_
I am going to check out Raydays pet insurance, they must be able to do a good policy for us!
I also printed out those details you gave us in a link last night of 'discretionary expenditure'. Quite interesting reading really, especially when you see that a childless couple has slightly less 'allowance' than a single person on a couple of items! At least I now have a guide for the food shop at last, but even that quoted £314, considering my sole income is Incapacity Benefit of £300 and minus ££ when I have paid out my priority debts before figuring my DMP its ridiculous.
So looks like I have to decide whether to include hubbys Tax credits and have a housekeeping budget of £314 for the 2 of us plus dogs or just be a single person and have a shopping budget as £191
All I want to do is get these forms off today and out of the way, I have to move on as I fear the creditors wont be waiting much longer for me!
In addition I got a call back from Jobcentre re my debt on gas & electric and they tell me I have to call eon and have them call the Incapacity Benefit office themselves. Looks like my only current source of income is going to be cut further as eon want more money. At this rate I will be cutting ourselves off at the mains as we cant afford gas & electric!

Dumb luck
Dont know how it works but can you not get your phone number changed or have caller display.
They should not be ringing you if you have asked them not to. Dont answer the phone if you know it is them and have caller display. Failing that try a whistle

My main creditor is a credit card on 0% balance transfer rate that is about to jump to 2.0751% per month (over 20% apr). Will Payplan ask this creditor to reduce accepted monthly payment and reduce interest rate? Cos if they don't reduce interest rate then I am going to end up paying a horrendous amount in interest and for a longer time. I can't see how this is better than a debt consolidation loan at 10.4%???:A kimmi_b0

I got my number changed by BT and it was free they used to charge about £9 which I was willing to pay but a couple of years ago it was free not sure about now. Best thing I ever did.
It is very demoralising but I am sure if you find a way of coping with the calls or changing your number you will feel stronger to deal with the rest at the moment you have constant reminders and they are paid bullies. Thats why they ring they know pressure will work on those that have the money but don't want to spend it, but you don't have it so its just harassment.0 -
Dumb luck have you considered getting rid of one of the mobiles and the health insurance to free up a bit of cash?
I would change my phone number. You can't be doing with all those calls. :eek:0 -

The whole point of a DMP is to get interest stopped, which happens in most cases. It can take a couple of months but try not to worry about it at the moment you can always have a go at claiming back when it is up and running.0 -
Thanks Guys,
