Hi Becse82 - i have to agree with cazziebo. You are asking an unanswerable question, as no one can ever predict what the money markets are going to do. yes, instead of being sarcastic (and hilarious lol), those with the witty remarks could simply choose not to respond, but then ask yourself, would you be annoyed that no one had answered...?

btw, the squirrel skin on the shoulder totally wiped me out... fab :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi becse82, honestly, welcome to MSE

Debs66 is pretty much spot on with her evaluation, please don't take any offence at the leg pulling, it's never directed at a person specifically as people are anonymous, maybe in this case just at the question.
MSE is a very powerful information tool which offers a lot of very important guidance, one additional asset of the site is an ability to sometimes convey a funny side as well because, as in this thread, sometimes it can also help lighten peoples day. In this day & age sometimes putting a smile on peoples faces is as good as a money saving idea....
Have a good holiday and think of me if you manage to get hold of a Euro note with Neil Kinnock on it :D

Enjoy the site and all its got to offer ;)

becse 82, i can see the point you are making , over the last year or so there has been a lot of comment on the fall of the euro rate and that happened, the rate just bombed, the experts predicted the trend and they got it right

your question a year ago would have no doubt contained many answers with links to endless articles predicting the gloom and doom that indeed happened, and less of the ever so funny witty banter

But we can pay most of our holiday costs in £s before we go if we are really worried about exchange rates.

Interest rates are likley to go up to curb inflation so if Eurozone interest rates stay the same then the value of the pound will increase so we will get more Euro to the pound BUT Eurozone inflation may change and hence Eurozone interest rates may go up or down so the smart investors may or may not move money out of the Eurozone into sterling but with the US election coming in November then this may influence investors depending on who is likley to win not sure what that betting is though and what the reaction may be amongst worldwide investors who may be in Switzerland which is out of the Eurozone and they may put their money into more Swiss francs.

Eurozone inflation is higher than here so they are just as likely to raise interest rates - so unlikely to make much difference - The £ has been over valued for years - I would say this level is about right.
