    Happy Birthday Lucy!

Louise - know what you mean about peaceful mornings - I daren't go into my back garden in a mornin cos otherwise I'd lose a couple of hours (watching squirrels, birds, the fox).

Going to be another busy one for me; the finals results came out late last week so several students will be wanting 'support'. Got to continue preparing for our exams (in July) and the new students who'll be with us next year (we start in August) so no wonder I'm shattered at this time of year!!!

Hope it's a good one for everyone.

Morning everyone and Happy Birthday Lucy  .

Another early morning this morning, my daughter currently thinks 6am is a much nicer time to wake than 7am

Not much planned here today. Really need to get some housework done though as didn't get much done over the weekend.

Random question but I am damned if I can find the answer to it.

Does anyone know if you can take gas powered hair straighteners in your luggage on a plane with a spare cartridge.

I have looked on quite a few web sites but have yet to find if I can. Argos have some on sale at £12 and I was going to grab a pair as I know my plug in ones wont work on American Voltage.

  • Morning. Happy Birthday Lucy. Today I was up at 6am after being woken 5 times between 1 and 3:30am by my 11 month old daughter. My 11 year old daughter has gone on a residential school trip to London for 3 days, hence the 6am wake up. I am a tad upset and missing her already.

    Have a good day everyone.

I think you should phone the customer helpline to see about the gas cartridges. Pretty sure they wouldn't be allowed in the cargo hold but not sure whether you could take them in your hand luggage. With all the security measures I'm not sure what you can and can't take. Will see if google sheds any light!
