In desparation I started taking the anti inflamatories that I had been given previously along with some paracetamol and codeine, really to just get through the day.

Why do you consider using tablets that are there to ease symptoms as an act of desperation?

Still he is finally over it all now, and is going to have I hope just a faint scar on his forehead, over his right eye. Could have been so much worse though....

Yes, he could have been hit in the head by a meteorite. Which would have left an even nastier scar. Don't think of what could be, just think of what is.

Am I being completely thick here or is he being a d*ck? I know he is worried about money. I know that his wage doesn't cover our outgoings. And I am prepared to get some sort of job now that would bring in some money IN THE SHORT TERM.

Does he know this? i.e. has he seen you sending off applications etc?

Does anyone know where I can get any information about this. The tester seemed to think that this would be a life long problem (for example she was saying he would get dispensation to use a computer for his exams at 16 and 18). So I would like to find out what I can about it.

It basically means he's a clumsy shiite, and will be for the rest of his life. His brain decided to spend the neurons on being intelligent, and not on being graceful. It's not the end of the world.

Get him proper lessons on touch typing - they will work so much better. Bob also gave you good tips about writing.

Of course OH just pooh pooh this and thinks I must have misunderstood. So I have made him say he will come to the school when the tester comes to talk about the report, so he can listen to it first hand.

What the hell does he think it is then?

I think dyspraxia might be the posh name for the motor planning problem and there are various web-sites offering information and help. I don't have any direct experience, but know a family whose child had dyspraxia (and was very intelligent) and after much informed support and practice by his mother, was vastly improved so the dyspraxia is now barely noticeable.

I don't know what to say about the other stresses. You have so much on right now, there is only so much a person can cope with and now isn't the time to be making any big decisions. One thing at a time methinks.

Well this week I have started eating frogs. Metaphorically speaking.

    I have
done exercise of some sort on Mon tue and wed, :j. today i am working in the shop so won't do much today, but it is better than last week.

Wed exercise involved eating another frog which was weeding the bed down the side of the house. It only took half an hour and I had been putting it off for weeks.

Today I will eat a small tadpole in that I am taking to the charity shop i work at two small bags of clothes that haven't sold on the local auction site. If they aren't going to sell on there for a dollar then I should give them away. Makes my listings look fresher if I am not listing same old same old.

    things to do

    wrap up 4 parcels
peel potatoes and veg for tea
    do volunteering at the shop.

Thanks Hovel Lady. he will like that when he gets up.

So today lots of things have happened. We are trying to move to another rental at the moment. At the same time I have my Ds1's first sleep over next Tuesday. Cue much cleaning so that parent of DS's friends don't think we live in a complete sh*t hole. But then landlady emails to say she is coming around with an agent, and contractors to look at the house ON TUESDAY. Really peed off about this. If she had just checked with us first, I would have asked her to arrange a different day. Sigh. I think that she is taking it all rather badly that we are moving out. I also have a nasty feeling that she is going to get a nasty shock when she finds out the price the rental agent is going to tell her she will get for this property.

i have seen houses that have a much higher standard of decor and fitting that are less money than what we pay.....oops.

So now not only have I got to clean the house alot (and I sodding hate housework at ANY time), I have also got to have a major clear up of clutter, so that she can take away the furniture she has been storing here for the last 3 years. In fact it has only just dawned on me how much we have been taken for a ride, because basically two rooms downstairs, the majority of stuff in it is HERS. So we have never been able to use that space effectively. Dang it.

But it does give you the experience to make sure that things are right in future rentals!

    Good luck with the housework!

I just need to vent a bit, because I can't do it to anyone else. There is no one here I know well enough STILL.

So we were all set on moving. We worked really hard to get the place clean for the inspection. My landlady comes round and doesn't say thanks for getting it all clean, but picks on the one thing I forgot the oven. !!!!!! I mean really. One thing. And she is STILL going on about it. Suggesting cleaning products to me for it. I KNOW HOW TO CLEAN A DANG IT OVEN. And I will clean it properly when we leave. GRRRRRRR:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:. I use the oven every day so surprise surprise it is going to get dirty. And as it is a job I HATE to do, I am not going to clean the stupid thing every week.

In fact I absolutely hate housework in general. Something I told OH when we got engaged, and which he has forgotten sigh. I think the thing with the landlady going on about cleaning, is that she knows that it is ONLY me who does housework, so it feels personal that she is picking on this thing.

OH doesn't understand my frustration about this at all. I don't feel supported about this at all by him. Another source of frustration. Yet he never sees the piles of washing to go in the machine, or the dirty dishes in the sink that he could wash up, or that the floor could do with mopping.

I know he works full time, and I am grateful he does, but I am getting (well trying to) work hopefully soon, and we will have to share chores more fairly. We need the money, so he needs to help.

The boys are being interesting. They have both been tested as gifted. there is a gifted school here called One Day School which I am keen to sent older DS to. But it is $650 A TERM.:eek: Even if I get a job, I still can't see how we are going to fit this into the budget. However I have talked to the parents of other gifted children, and they have been so positive a)about the school itself, and b) the impact it has had on their children, that I feel we shall have to find the money somewhere. Or maybe we can ask the grand parents to help out? Hmm,

My younger DS both pleases me and angers me in turns. His league team played at half time in one of the local finals down in Auckland on Saturday. He had a great game and even did some tackling (long story but he basically still seems to thing league is a non contact sport:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)! Then on Sunday we go to micro footy, where he has a great game of tag rugby. Only for me to have a mother come over the me after to say that he has been threatening to hit the girls who were playing in the stomach. Like !!!!!!? I thought she was coming over the complement him on his playing and instead I have that.

Add to that the ongoing wetting issues when he is involved in something, well that is an ongoing annoyance but meant 3 extra lots of washing yesterday, in order to wash the couch cushion and covereing he had soiled.

So going back to the house move. We think we have somewhere, but they have to pour concrete in the floor, and there was a problem with the permit (worrying), so now that is going to be late. Because we thought our landlady was also our friend (mistakenly it seems), we did her the courtesy of letting her know in advance that we were thinking of leaving, and now we can't tell her a moving date, so very frustrating for all of us.

So that is part 1 of winging done
