Chev - sorry to hear that you are having a pooey time out there in NZ. I know what you mean about confidence or rather lack of, I am the same although you would never think so to look at me. I always worry about what people think even though I say that I don't care - I do really.

    Thanks for the support.

Is there a way of training your boys to at least tidy up after themselves or help with the washing up in exchange for pocket money? (Pocket money need not be a lot).

Actually they aren't that bad most of the time, they just have this habit of being messy 'just' before someone is coming or whatever.

Dare I say it but I have aways thought that the New Zealanders were far more aloof than their Aussie counterparts and therefore not as easy to make friends with. Aussies are more about mateship whereas New Zealanders talk to sheep because there are more sheep than people.

Actually this isn't true anymore, there are probably more cows than people now though! And yes I think this is true...

As for having a whinge, you are welcome to do that on my diary - thanks for posting there, your kind words have been welcomed.

Keep your chin up gal - things will come right in the end.:)

Thanks Horace. It is nice to know that I am not the only one that actually looks at things like this....

    Hi guys.
Sorry to be missing in action but life here is crazy busy. We had a couple of weeks where summer sport and winter sport overlapped so we were doing things with the boys most evenings and sometimes during the day too!

We have been enjoying the Rugby World Cup. Went to see the Japan France game, wow the French were carp! With 12 minutes to go it was 21 Japan 25 France. And we were all daring to believe the impossible. Even some of the French fans were cheering the Japanese!

My OH is a sad man today. We went to see the Australia Ireland game on Saturday. Should have been a walkover (apparently lol) for Australia. OOPS! First time Ireland have beaten Australia in the world cup I think. Freaking awesome. I was thinking of Wordsmith and imagining the party in Ireland must have been very long!

Had a bit of a revalation about my weight today. Found this site http://www.active.com/fitness/calculators/calories/

It told me that I would need to eat 2254 calories a day to maintain this weight. So I am maintaining this weight so holy carp I am eating THAT much a day. I really didn't think I was. My BMI is 26 not bad but not in the good range either. And then it came to ideal weight. My actual weight in pounds is 168lbs 12 stone. My ideal weight is apprently between 125 and 158lbs. How carp. How did that happen, that my weight has crept up that much. I hardly snack I just have 3 meals a day. I don't drink sugary drinks so aaaagh. 125lb is 8 st 9lbs. That is 3 stone less.....Not sure I could ever do that again. Haven't been that light since my 20's. On the other hand losing that much weight would significantly lessen the pressure on both my back (now diagnosed with arthritis in my spine) and my legs, which still aren't right after all that flying I did this year. So I need to start taking more of an interest in this.

However the house still needs decluttering. The stuff still needs to be realised into money! Then there is the kids sigh. However I have got through to the second stage of a xmas job process, so at least I may finally get some extra pennies in now...

chev good luck with the next stage of the christmas job, hope you get it.
Hugs about everything that's been going on.
weight wise why not just think that you're only 10lb away from your ideal weight, you don't have to fight your way to the smallest number you know!

Chev - don't fret on the weight front, I weigh 12.5 stone - I used to weigh 8stone but as I have gotten older i have spread a bit (alright then, a lot:eek:), back in 2007 I know I was 10stone.

The Rugby has been good although I missed the Ireland v Australia match and managed to miss the Wales v Samoa match too:( I am not bothered by England too much:rotfl:

Good luck with the Christmas job too:D
