Hi, I was wondering if one of you Boots experts could help me!
Basically, I'd saved enough points to spend £10 on the Mediterranean range and get the GWP. I bought some large bath stuff for £5, some body wash or £4 and then used the 1/2 price ACM voucher (for a small 75ml bergamot, orange and olive bath cream for £1 rather than £2), taking the total to £10.
I went to pay, the GWP went through fine as did the voucher, but when I asked to pay with my points I was told I couldn't as I'd used the voucher, and I could only use one. The SA explained to me 'If you pay with points and use the voucher, we're giving you double benefits.' I stood my ground for a good 3 minutes, but then another SA got involved and they bascially refused.
Now, I've just look at the AC terms and conditions, and at the FAQ's on page 1, and I can't find anything stating this. I'm annoyed because I thought points were supposed to be like cash in Boots ( I know there are restrictions on certain things.) The whole idea of getting 'double benefits' particularly annoyed me, they're points I've earnt by spending money in Boots!
Anyway, rant over, sorry! Should I call CS or were the SA's right?0 -
evening all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am back, if anyone missed me! lol
have had a quick look on the 1st page but will some kind soul tell me what I have missed and what I should be looking out for in the old place we all know and love, named BOOTS!!! thanks, hope everyone is well! xxx
Welcome back! I have been keeping a low profile while I went kind of cold turkey on bootsing, but today I succumbed to the Clarins GWP, which is worth a look (post#136, and, thanks to CPG, on page 1). It felt very odd being in a Boots not at all on top of my game, but the cure has achieved something, cos I paid with points!0 -

As has been pointed out (I think by Broclo), sometimes staff put out the gwps the night before an offer starts -- meaning if you went in about an hour before closing tomorrow, the new Max Factor gwp may be on the shelves AND the offer to get 1000 points on a £20 MF spend should still be on (I assume, I haven't seen any signs about it, but most offers end tomorrow it seems). So you could spend £20, get 1000 points back and get a gwp. And if you have a PC coupon, get £2 off.
Also, the new Dream Lash and its gwp may be out by tomorrow evening, meaning you could get that as part of your £20 spend, and the other No7 gwps would still be out too -- and the no7 suncare would still be BOGOF. So you could spend £20 on dream lash and other items (or at least the till will think you did if you toss in BOGOF suncare), and get a men's or women's gwp as well as the nail kit gwp (also using any extra points coupons that apply and/or the £3 off men's No7 if you're buying that). Good deal if you want the mascara, and if you're lucky enough to have a store where staff put stuff out early.0 -
Don't forget there might be a ROC GWP out too. Might try it with face wipes and £5 voucher. Here come the girls....100% Gorgeous!!!0

Evening all. Could someone please help me with the 1500 points Oral B voucher please? (Thanks yummy_mummy_cat, looking forward to receiving it tomorrow). Currently a couple of toothbrushes are on half price offer, was £24.75 now £12.37, the voucher says spend £30 and above to collect 1500 points. So will I have to buy 3 or the till will think 2 is enough?
Thanks guys!0 -

moneysavingmonofone has already said you cannot pay with points and use money off vouchers or earn extra points. However you would have got the GWP when paying with points, even though some people have encountered a problem because the SAs were just not aware of this. The aswer is to do a normal transaction and then at the end say you wanna pay with points!!
the double benefits talk is a bit weird and it does sound strange to a mse bootser since we get double or triple benefits with a given purchase, however when paying with points you can't add anything, other than the GWP.
