Dusty a hug for your Nan (((hug))) with tea and cake (something my Nan says makes everyone better!!)
Michelle, what a trooper your DP is turning out to be, would you like to swap :D ?
vivw hello, been a while since I have seen you in here, are you ok?
Mudbath well done both of you!!!
Rach you should hire your DH out too, I think my partner must have missed the domestic god gene :rotfl:
prettypennies, usually depends on the excess, I think I would get a price on how much it'll be first
    Shell ((big hugs))
Johanne, boddy might have a point there, if he calls his network provider they can usually block numbers calling, some phones have it built in aswell.

Been to DS1s school fayre, started raining as it was due to start so was all crammed inside, inc lots of people as it's always very well attended. Spent a lot but all goes towards minibus fund (DS1s class uses it every week) & did get some luck on the tombola in a sanctuary set which has gone into the presents box & a toy for Matthew :D got some bargain books mainly for DP and some videos for the boys (all 10p so no moaning there!) Went to the pet shop straight from there to get pet foods, need to update my spending over the last 2 days.

Must do some studying tonight once they are in bed, getting half of Q2 done will be my aim, then the other half tomorrow after we've been to Diggerland. I wonder which one of my sons is sick this year - they've thrown up there the last 2 years! Be a late night tomorrow as that's 5.30-7.30 (private hire) so I think I better make sure uniforms etc are done tonight and out in the morning.

Flying :rotfl: did I mention my house is a poo tip? Oh it's terrible, I've done much less than usual all week and it's showing. There is dust on the bathroom window sill I spotted earlier which doesn't usually happen, got more clean/dry laundry downstairs waiting to be put away than in my wardrobe I think :o Garden looks great :D does that count? :rotfl: I think tomorrow morning/afternoon will be 'tidy ups time' as DS2 calls it, he's been a trooper today helping empty the DW and tidying his brothers room, but not wanting to do his own......
One day I might be more organised...........

Kaz sneaks in for a good kicking, as I told you all to if I hadnt posted each day to say I'd done something. So here I am. Havent had any chance to catch up but will try to later so hugs all round for now.

Been a strange week with OH away, first time we've been apart for more than a night and have missed him like mad. Phone bills will be mental but I dont care. He finally made it into Northern Italy to his destination having travelled approx 1000 miles on the motor bike in 3 1/2 days. Had a really bad day yesterday as hadnt heard from him for 18 hours and panicked like mad as his last text had talked about the scary hairpins through the Swiss Alps and having to blitz it to get there in time!! But blokes being blokes had thought it was better not to text me when he'd gone to bed and got up early to have an early start. Talk about worry. Hope he's got it out of his system with this trip as I dont think I could go through it again. He's leaving there tomorrow lunch and hoping to be back Mon night so will go have to go through all the worry and panic again as he's trying to do it in half the time!!

Had a good day thursday as had business lunch out, fabulous 3 course lunch and followed by an evening out with my friend, so me time had for a change.

    Hi all

Felt a bit down this morning, just worrying about all the money stuff about this discharge mess. Got loads of phone calls to make on Monday in the hope that we can do something to make sure we don't go down the bankrupt road.

DH was a star, getting up with the kids and sorting them out, I didnt get much sleep; I think I dozed off about 5 this morning so he left me alone bless him.

He did the laundry and I stayed upstairs to try get the laundry put away. And then just after lunch, DH decided to clean the microwave - and the dam thing blew up!!! So no more microwave! And I'm not buying another one. The only way another microwave is coming into my house is if I win one or my mam buys one!

DD2 peed the bed last night (again!!!) so duvet, sheets and all in the WM, and dried, mattress dried and aired - she is back in pull ups at night now.

Off to crack on with a bit more. See you all later xxx

I am here - honest - just trying to get this damned little settee covering finished - it's taking longer and is far fiddlier than I expected. I have told myself I can't have dinner until it's done. So, I've just poured some liquid nourishment in the form of a G&T

    Back to it.... ~sigh~

Hex congraultations on just getting married, made me laugh when that came up on facebook :rotfl: I think I sent some friends suggestions last night, hope they worked.

Facebook - I'm still finding people, if a little dragon (called 'I don't see a mess' :rotfl: how suitable ) adds you, it's me :D I find the whole thing a little confuzzling to say the least but getting there.

DP getting on my nerves and he's not even here :rotfl: he's phoned several times moaning that it's very quiet at work (and he's annoyed with lazy people getting a taxi less than 200 yards and making him end up at the back of the queue) that his ankle hurts and basically having a moan, of course his troubles are far worse than anyone elses. I do feel for him, I know his ankles really bad but it never stops him doing what he wants to do....

:o see he's got me moaning about his moaning. Been spending time reworking the meal plan, was too late when we got finished at the pet shop and fayre to go to the farm so didn't buy any meat, they only open Friday and Saturday so what we have left will have to just do now, tough! Dinner tonight was a italianish chicken (breast pieces in same sauce as I make for bolognese) with some mozarella mixed in which was yummy, DS2 (DS1 of course had something else) was not keen but that means more left overs for another day next week. I cooked double the pasta we needed so will box that up for another day (bag was open both ends so the lot fell in :o) Chuffed so far with my grocery spends this month, been seriously working on emptying the big freezer and being strict with myself, it's not totally empty but close. Now all the parts have FINALLY arrived, I can find who I need to get them fitted by, pleased I've had to wait to be honest as they're replacing the whole computer inside so the later they do it the longer it'll work for hopefully (as it's now out of warranty I think, or close to it)

Roll on 8pm boys can be kicked to bed and I can get some more assignment work done.....well that's the plan anyway.
One day I might be more organised...........

johanne - I'd definitely get that number blocked.

hippy - thank you! Now beginning to get excited about going! It seems ages since we thought of it and booked it, and now it's less than 48 hours away.

    Vanilla - that's quite a story!

I have managed to do the weekly shopping, searched hundreds of shops for a summer handbag and failed to find anything I liked for a price I was prepared to pay, several loads of washing, and more still to do, and also went downtown and bought DD the dress that she found on Thursday. Funny, I thought she was going to pay for it herself. She's now spent the whole evening dithering about wearing it, as she rarely wears dresses. If she doesn't ...

I had half an hour in the garden, watering the pots, and also potted up a sage and some parsley for summer herb pots. I think there are some chives hiding in the coldframe somewhere, so I want to put those in a big pot on the patio too. I also have peppers and aubergines, but they look a bit too small to go out yet.

Packing tomorrow - now last year I remember that someone posted a website with packing reminder lists. I have googled, but can't find the right thing, so can anyone help please? I haven't got very much to pack anyway, although I did buy the shorts as DD approved, and also a t shirt, so I won't totally disgrace the girls!
