I've added a few of you this evening on facebook - i think i am fairly obvious so you should know it is me ;)

I have had a semi-productive evening - we had our roast dinner, and i spent ages settling ds2, but i have also just sorted through some clothes.
    • 3 boxes of my 'normal' clothes unpacked - PJs/undies/trousers now back in the wardrobe, most of the tops and skirts need to see an iron again before i would wear them, although you never know, might be easier to wear them in the house then wash them again first.
    • sorted through the pants/bras that i was putting back - binned at least half of them for being too scraggy and i deserve better - they didn't flatter me before either pregnancy and they won't look any better 2 years down the line - don't know why i kept them in the 1st place
    • sorted through PJs as i have too many and DH told me some were shabby looking - amazing what you choose not to notice yourself - 4 pairs to recycling, 2 pairs i don't like that people bought me are now in a charity shop bag that needed filling
    • sorted through maternity clothes, binned a few tops that were stained/been caught on something, packed 2 boxes to go in the loft now on the landing
I have got a right 'flinging' head on me, and i thought i would take advantage. I will probably get rid of more when i finish BFing DS2 and decide my shape has stopped changing.

It also motivated me that DH has set me a target of finally sorting the room all the clothes are in by the end of August so we can finally get charlie moved in there - it is a bit of a mission and a half as i am trying to dry clothes on 2 huge airers as well as iron and sort through 2 sizes of both boys clothes and 2 lots of clothes for me too. And all the empty boxes from the loft are also in there.

Also, in a slight break to the rain, DH brought in the bin from yesterday, so i got him to empty the hoover, and the shredder, and we emptied the kitchen and bathroom bins as i am fed up of smelling poo-ey nappies even though i wrap them in a scented nappy sack. What has life descended to?

we also caught up on 2 episodes of lost while ds1 had a nap this afternoon. So it hasn't been too bad of a day, and now i have clean trousers ready, i can get dressed tomorrow and be even more productive. :rotfl:

vivw ds2 was born nearly 7 weeks ago (6/05/08) so it must be a while since you read the thread. ;) I bet you have been busy at work though with exam season.

soappie well done on finishing the sofa even if you cheated - do we get to see a photo of that too like your other DIY projects?

Right, going to find my list and see what else i have achieved with the day - as always i wish the weekends were longer so i could do more, but the fact is we need some time to relax too and recharge the batteries from missing sleep. Not easy with the 2 boys. I guess easier as they get older and both sleep properly.

Well looking at the actual list, i haven't done much  (just added some stuff though  )

however, sitting in the kitchen is 1x carrier full of paper recycling, 2 x carriers full of clothes to recycle, and in the hall is 1x full carrier to go the charity shop. We also just about filled the bin that was emptied only yesterday, and i filled the shredder and had to empty it, so i must be doing something right. ;)

Our plans for the weekend involve:
    • pack away some of the newborn/0-3 month clothes and put back in the loft
    • [STRIKE]look through my non-maternity clothes so i can get dressed as i have no clean trousers otherwise - ds2 peed on me again yesterday[/STRIKE]
    • defrost fridge
    • food shop
    • [STRIKE]make roast beef dinner[/STRIKE]
    • cut ds1 hair
    • flea treat ginger
    • go to local fete on sunday if weather ok
    • wash bedding - our bed, cot, travel cot bottom sheet
    • submit gas and elec meter readings tried but website was down
    • 2 boxes of maternity clothes into loft
    • visit parents
    • do some ironing
    • file away stack of papers i sorted

Michelle - you're boys are both gorgeous! Had a peek at your recent photos. Can't decide if I want baby no. 3 (not just yet though) but get sooooo broody when I see a newborn.

Right - off for an early night!

I'm off to bed. I've done my two pages revision and only three pages left to go. I can't wait until Tuesday evening when life will get back to normal. My muscles have started to stiffen up a bit now....wonder if i'll be able to walk tomorrow!!! DD has asked if we can go out running once a week so that should do me some good with my healthy eating / weight loss.

    Night all xx

thanks luby - i like to think they are but i am highly biased of course ;)

i think it tells you something that i am putting the maternity clothes back in the loft instead of binning/selling/passing back to my sisters (i inherited some of their stuff too!) ;) Although i won't be doing it for a couple of years at least. I think although i am managing now i would be foolish to have 3 under 3. Plus i would go insane if DS1 maintains his current obsession with barney

those of you whose kiddies like barney - i have discovered there are loads of clips of old tapes of barney on youtube, and it has extended the entertainment possibilities for DS1 - i am slightly scared that at 20 months old he can now use the computer mouse, but maybe he will become an IT whizz and keep me in the lap of luxury in my dotage :D

Mudbath my children wouldn't even consider suggeting such a thing :rotfl: Goodnight, hope you're not aching too much in the morning x

Michelle, sounds like you are making big progress with the room, maybe move the airers into another space/room while you are doing it? I have to do that when sorting the conservatory which has become my drying room, they either end up in the dining room, my room or on the landing (or outside if we get one of those 'nice days' we see occasionally) Sorry but no matter what you wrap them in I think you can smell nappies, I think sometimes being able to smell the bags just highlights that you know they are in there? As for Barney, I think he came out when a girl I used to childmind was little, she had a new song which went something like this

'I hate you, you hate me, let's all go and kill Barney. With a baseball bat and a 4x4. No more purple Dinosaur!' :rotfl: I find myself singing it if I hear the tune

PHEW looks like weather is supposed to clear up from 10am tomorrow, so hopefully dry out before 5.30pm! We've done this 3 years in a row and it's rained every time, so one nice day would be lovely!

Oh and sometimes I want 3, but then I resist temptation, doubt DP would be happy if we did have another, I think he sees it as we're just getting our lives back now, but we had the boys early in life so I can see me getting broody several times again.

Well studying hasn't gone well, too tired, ended up trying to clean red grape juice off the kitchen bench (any ideas anyone because I've tried all sorts?) then when I was trying to concentrate the rain on the roof gave me a headache :o Done some, not half as I hoped but better than nothing. As the forecasts looking ok for after 10am tomorrow the laundry can stay in the WM hoping I'll get it on the line tomorrow (because I can't be bothered getting the airer out!)

Going to do an online banking check, make sure the bills came out properly and from the right accounts, transfer some about and then off to bed I think, goodnight everyone x
One day I might be more organised...........

Well, I've spent ages playing on facebook, thanks to all who have added me! I feel so super-popular!

But have managed to write a review and post it on my 3 sites so at least that will earn me a couple of pennies towards all the expenses lol. Planning to write a lot more over the next few days, try and get as much done as i can before i move, you know what its like trying to sort out broadband in a new area lol.

Have checked out a site on the freebies board, when you move you get a free box of goodies, have bookmarked it so i can get some freebies when we get somewhere new to live!

Have been looking at the house in elgin, it looks nice. Only downside I can see is that it says it has a garden at the front but nothing mentioned about the back and if the pic is of the front, its a communal garden. Can't go digging it up to plant my veggies! But there looks to be room for a small greenhouse so DH can have fresh herbs all year round!

We are looking at me going back to work (god its been 6 years!!!) if i can get back to where i used to work it would be great! And he is going to try and start up a couple of businesses, one for during the day when the kids are at school, and a karaoke one for at nights when i am home. That way, we save on childminding fees!

Got to get my behind to bed in a minute, cant keep my eyes open and am of to my friends house tomorrow to give her some clothes DD2 has outgrown for her DD3!

    See you all later on!
