Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board0 -
bonsibabe you've got us all with everything crossed, positive vibes a plenty so hopefully everything will turn out for the best, you never know if all of what you are hoping for comes through, this might have been the best thing the army could have ever done for him, silver linings and all that. I do think however £200 cleaning fee is crazy, where on earth do they dream of a figure like that? Was it clean when you moved in and in the contract you signed that you would need to pay £200 cleaning fee?
g&b all my animals do that, well apart from the fish :rotfl: oh does that mean I forget more often than I should
Shell good luck with the interview

Johanna, I know it's hard to but try to keep as calm as possible, from the texts it's sounding like she's pestering him not the other way round

SSL well done!!! I might have won a little on the Grand National but I am still pretty clueless when it comes to this betting lark.
pigpen - sorry to hear your DS1s being a PITA, maybe you need to keep that prodding stick for him?
Dusty - **big dealing with teentrouble hugs**
Bloods - 5 days I think she said, she said they'd phone if there is any problems with the results and to go back next week if I feel no better.
Well I didn't manage a sleep or much studying, so not a very productive afternoon, I did get a nice shower and had a laze on the bed while I went through finances which was better than nothing but DP decided to bug me so didn't get sleep. Collected DS2 from school and spent half an hour at the park with him. Since I've got back DS1s been blatently horrible and I am considering keeping him out of the pool tonight as he's being violent aswell. Anyway I best go get their things together and get going, can't leave him here as DP keeps falling asleep (because of work, being a dormouse isn't catching) Have a nice evening everyone. One day I might be more organised...........

Bonsibabe - fingers crossed for you.
Johanne - Hugs hun. Have you deleted her from his phone? Men can be such P-I-G s. If you have concerns, don't bottle them up and if you think he isn't telling you everything, try to keep calm but make sure he knows you won't stand for any funny business. In my experience you give them an inch...Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -

Still not really revised. I'm kind of condensing notes in the hope something sticks. Just had a phone call from my dad. He's been to see his eye specialist today and has to go and see someone else as he has had another bleed behind one of his eyes. He's staying really positive though it must be scary for him. Evening people
Had a car accident on the way home from work - my First! Ever! And no damage or whiplash to worry about thank goodness. Just a feeling of annoyance of the (I'm sorry to say this, but it was a woman) driver in front of me and her lack of attention.
I was stuck in a queue of traffic on an off slip. Black Audi in front of me. I've left a reasonable gap - about 6 feet between her and me because my tail is over the edge of a fast dual carriageway (and I'm always aware of the possibility of someone shunting me from behind into the car in front). I'm stopped. My handbrake is on.
She starts to roll back. V. slowly. I have by now another car behind me so I can't roll back. I think she'll realise in the next second but then I see she's fiddling in the dashboard and is not looking at the road so won't realise she's moving. I start beeping my horn. Loud, LONG, loud LONG and LOUDER AND LONGER. Although the handbrake is on, I stamp on the footbrake too and hold it there. She still rolls back. And then goes crunch into the front of my car. And just sits there.
I get out and have to walk up to her driver's window and tap on it before she finally winds it down. I tell her she's just rolled back into the front of my car. She says "Oh, I don't think so". I say well, would you like to come out and see? She does, sees her car embedded in my plastic bullbars and says 'well I don't think there'll be much damage'.
I tell her it would help if she moved her car out of my faux bull bars so we can check. She does. We inspect. Fortunately there is no damage to my car. She then apologises and says it's the end of a long day and she's tired. I commiserate and ask her if she hadn't hear my beeping. She said her music was on......
We get back in our cars and continue in the queue. I decided not to point out to her that she had some nice scratches on her back bumper - I'll let her figure that out for herself later
Then I got in and have been busy.People keep wanting to talk to me! This is most unusual! But not at all unpleasant. I think I've just had the longest conversation with DiL that I've had for a long time which can only be a Good Thing.
Nice Neighbour is home from her hol so we had a quick get together over a G&T and discussed various things - the most puzzling of all was the "it's full, it's not bin day but hang on, now it's empty and it's bin day but the bin men haven't been yet. Oooh it's a couple of days after bin day and now it's full again with stuff that was in the bin before the last bin day but I've only got home from a week away tonight" bin issue. (Long story - won't bore you with it!! But him upstairs from NiceN is very odd.)
But now I'm running out of time and have to go cook dinner, put the BM on etc. so all I really have time to say is:
Lil-me - hope the bloods come back OK
Bonsi - I have everything crossed for the house in Elgin for you - or at least something similar. The £200 cleaning is confusing me too....but, then I'm thinking if I'm going to have to pay that anyway, I'll just not bother doing ANY for the last couple of weeks or so - just so I get my money's worth.
Johanne - v. big hugs....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Thank you all, i so appreciate it. We've worked out that if a few things go our way (house, legion givinga loan, car) then we could possibly get through this with as little hassle as possible.
i know lil me, £200 to clean this place is a nightmare but its an army thing. the house has to be clean to certain standards when you move in. we moved to a building site but the house was clean. we could do the cleaning ourselves, but the housing here like everyone to pay for the cleaning service. it does take away a lot of hassle and means that all i have to do is make sure the kitchen gets a swish and swipe and that the toilets are clean and the carpets. we are not paying to get the carpets cleaned as some are to be written off as they got water damaged. we have to repaint the living room as we have loads of pics up.
if we can get thru this with as little hassle as possible and just the £200 cleaning charge, and get our finances sorted, then we may just have a chance in the new house (wherever it is). i'm hopeing we can get this one in elgin, as its close enough to home, but far enough away from inverness to still have a little distance.
just got to remember to phone this organisation on monday. they did say the end of the week but we are desperate so will phone them on monday just to see if they have anything we can get. the smallest houses they do are 3 bedroom. we hope to get a 4 bed so we can start up the business (finances permitting!) but a 3 would be okay (beggars cant be choosers and all that!)
feeling a little happier now, well not happier but much calmer.
thanks for all the support, i don't know if i could be getting thru it as calmly as i have beenxxxxLBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

soappie, thank goodness you are alright. i'm of that opinion with the cleaning too, just going to pack everything up, and when its all on the removals van, give the place a once over with a cloth. hopefully the removals van will go straight to a house and not transit accommodatin but we'll wait and see ...
